    Yep.

You have the same idea that I do. I'm only going to cut all that plastic and replace my rear bumper after I have scraped the hell out of it.

    Yeap.

I'd like to see what you do. I haven't found a solution to mount them to the bed with out the mounts ripping out. Especially when they are full.

Yeah. I might road my truck a little hard.

For 2.5 gallons of gas and water (each side of the bed), I'm using this can mount: https://wavianusa.com/collections/accessories/products/steel-fuel-can-holder

Bolting each one to the bed rail with the Rago bracket: I should be done by tomorrow

I'll also be doing a water pump mod to the water can here (2.5 gal to stay below the bedside), pump mod here: https://www.margygreen.com/Blog-Adventure/Sceptre-Water-Can

If you look inside the lighter there is a small square cut out in the bottom that you can see and one above it that you cannot see, stick a pick in there and press pretty hard to release the clips holding the lighter in, it doesn’t just pop right out you have to really work it.

But those jerrycans hold 5 gallons, not 2.5 gallons. That's roughly 35lbs of fuel for a full can, plus the weight of the can.

Are you only filling them half way or doing something else? Why waste the space if you are not filling them up all the way. Am I missing something?

Sorry, I should have made it more clear. They make both the cans and holder in 2.5 and 5 gallons. I'm using the 2.5 gallons to keep them below the bedside. For the 5 gallon cans, you'd probably use the 5 gallon holder and possibly 2 per can. :notsure:

    2.5 gallon picture here

    5 gallon picture here

I'll share photos of my install tomorrow :hattip:

    Edit: install pics here

The only thing that could make the center console organizer better is if it clipped to the lid when lifted

Just an FYI for those getting the eBay handles...they are not on par with the OEM Toyota SR Black Handles which cost THE SAME $33 bucks!
I have had the eBay handles for a few years now and the other day my driver side handle failed - got stuck in the open position and wouldn't spring back. Turns out the spring mechanism is a bit different in the eBay handle than the OEM handle. The OEM handle has a better fitting spring and all around better way of functioning.
I know cause I ended up trying to repair the eBay handle - which I did - but I can tell it will not last very long. I ended up buying a replacement OEM handle and saw the difference.
So, save yourself the regret and just get the OEM handles - after all they cost THE SAME!
