She’s very supportive. Not a problem. It’s not like I’m cutting metal in the house. It’s just mock up, paper trimmings to clean up. She just wanted me to make sure it secure and it is.

1/4" These 4 peices are just part of the mount not the whole thing. There is going to be inner and outer pieces to beef them up.

Damn you let the cat out of the bag.;) yup I have a photo like this on my phone. It's all in pieces though. The issuse I have right now is completely tying onto the axle and creating a pocket for snow, mud or water to sit into and create rust. So I'm thinking on the lower gusset to have an opening between the gusset and axle for draining. I lost my misalignment spacers and had to order new ones. Should of been here last night but it seems they will get here today. Once I have them then I'll finish the lower mounts and have ready to go until I'm ready to chop the back. Nothing is getting welded until I cycle everything together(shocks, tires). I want to make sure everything clears and my link geometry numbers will work before welding to the axle.

I started the upper mounts for the axle but need the heims. I don't want to buy cheap ruffstuff ones so I'm going with TMR customs. Hopefully I can get a couple of them ordered today. It's really hard getting the bank (Barb) giving me money during the winter :p. well see.

I did get the inner sections of the link mounts done. The top is solid against the axle housing. The bottom has an opening. I’m scratching the idea of adding those outer pieces to the mount in that upper photo because I went to fab up the pieces and didn’t like how it was coming out. I will be adding welding washers to the outside of these mounts to beef up the bolt hole.

Yeah I follow him on instagram. He does cool work. I'm not interested in his weldable lock washers. I'm going to use lock nuts. My bolt is 3/4 for those mounts. The uppers are going to be 5/8.

Update. Coilovers showed up. Still doing mounts for the links and I’m pretty happy how they are coming out.

Thanks bud. I just want to make sure I have everything ready to go before I chop the truck. I'll still need to build a whole bed cage too. This is a lot of work for one guy.

They are 2.5" bodies with 16" travel. The bypasses are 2.5" bodies with 18" travel.

DownSouth set them up to what they think the valving should be. I choose the spring rates. I can adjust them a little bit on the resi. But you never know until everything is together. Once everything is done Tim and I will go test everything out. Then make final tuning adjustments if need be.

Still working on it. Made the driver side upper link mount. It takes a lot of time designing, measuring and making each mount.

Pics of the upper mount. Everything is measured from the top of the frame. That’s why I had to make the top of the mount flat. Plus it works for clearance on top of the frame. It’s not pretty but it works. I’ll most likely box it into the frame after it’s welded onto the truck.

So what’s the plan for attaching this section back to the body?

Not sure if that was a joke or if you're serious. This frame isn't from my truck. I got it from a junk yard off a tacoma. I'm just using it for mock up then tossing it into the scrap bin.
