Does my 20’ TRD off-road have a timing belt or chain? What’s the mileage I should start worrying about it if any? Thx

Pretty sure it's a belt, but am not certain.

Follow your manuals maintenance schedule and you'll be fine.

150,000+ is when chains start to stretch. Very rare still.

    Rust is the Tacoma's enemy.

    Nice! Thanks!
Third start my rope snapped and I threw my shoulder out, they warrantied the rope and upgraded me to a crank for free. I'm grateful.

Some really cool information in there.

Like how the iron cylinder liners are attached to the aluminum block.

That's been around a while. Honda did something similar with the first gen NSX aluminum blocks with steel and ceramic impregnated liner material. Toyota is just trying to look all fancy.

On the first page it says the fuel octane rating is 91 or higher.

its 91 research octane which is 87 regular. It says it right in the owners manual. I put a take of each (premium is 93) and noticed no difference in engine noise (use to be able to tell in my old 4Runner) or mpg

I think a better test would be say a tank of 90 octane with the 10% ethanol and then next tank 90 octane but pure gas ethanol free and compare.
