Wife and I had a wedding planned in 4 weeks and the military just put a travel ban on us until May 11th.

All the venue money and prep money wasted

    fuck, I hate people

I failed 565 yesterday which would have been a 3lb pr. Shit didn’t even budge. Need to start doing more conventional work as my lower back and hammys have been lacking.

Did pr 485x2 on squat and 380x1 on bench earlier in the week though so all is not lost.

Anyone have any powerlifting programs they’re fond of? I’m almost at a year of wendler 5/3/1 and need to switch it up.

For first time in 8 months and after 2 hours hitting back and biceps, I was happy. I was at least able to do 2x my bw still so I felt good about that lol.

GNC is for noobs who want to waste money. They thrive off of suckering people into "fitness" when really the guys there don't know much at all about supplements. Prove me wrong.

    I’m sorry man :(

I’d fight for what ever you can get back. Pull the military card too. Your wife cannot control what shes asked to do by the US government.
Most places will be very understanding and willing to work with you.

I don’t know if I’m fond of it, but I just started Smolov’s squat routine. So much squatting.

Haven't been to the gym in 4 days because of long work hours and I was looking forward to finally smashing the weights today and tomorrow. Now I am wondering if I should go in at all. I'm in Chicago the virus is spreading here pretty quick. Local hotel had a lady from Iran test positive and my office shut down yesterday because a co worker tested positive (he hadn't been in the office in a couple weeks though due to traveling to clients). Really wish I would have made the home gym in my garage that I've been thinking about the past year

I’m willing to get sick to get to the gym.

Trust me this thing can’t be worse than the shit I’ve had in the last three months.

    Bring it!

my only worry with getting sick is giving it to my 6mo pregnant wife or my 70 year old in-laws we are currently living with. As for going to the gym, just wipe everything down and don’t touch your face between sets. My favorite part is watching everyone react when someone starts coughing or sneezing. I’m in NC and it’s the start of pollen/allergy season so everyone is going to start overreacting even worse now.

This pandemic is really bad timing though because all my home gym stuff is in a storage unit. If they close the gyms I’ll be heading to the storage unit to do some rearranging so I can still get some resemblance of a workout in

I have had very good success with smolov in the past *when* I have been able to make it through without coming up with a nagging injury. The volume seems to be on the border of what I am able to recover from. Pretty nuts.
    So much gains.

I'm not really worried about catching it. This isn't gonna blow over in a week so I'd be happy to get it over with here... But easy for me to say. I don't have vulnerable ppl here. Only kids and healthy adults, so bring it too.

I am concerned about how long things stay crazy'ish, for the economy and all... Also for my parents and one physically weaker nephew.
