Camping is going to be sweet this summer. Beans and instant mashed potatoes for days!

Just like the last 41 years. Except for maybe the mashed potatoes. Not sure I have ever made those camping.

You should try the idahoan garlic and butter instant mashed potatoes. They are freaking delicious.

Not sure how it is in MT, but in Denver the water municipalities are taking this virus very seriously. They had contingency plans and worst case scenarios planned out weeks ago. It will take a lot more than a bad flu going around to threaten our water supply. All the people stocking up on bottled water are just putting money in big corporation's pocket, they're not actually doing any meaningful "prepping".

Given my knowledge of microbiology and people I know with PhDs in the subject, IMO, this whole thing is mostly bark and no bite. We could treat influenza like this every year as it is worse every year and similar. But, the corporate media is not known for its intelligence and gvmt must appear to be doing "something".
However, I think these people are just preparing for the worst case scenarios. Something people did not do with Katrina. So, while I think this is all mostly BS, I don't mind people actually preparing (even if a little late) for the worst case scenario - water, food.... and, I guess diarrhea lol

I think it's wise to shut it all down for a couple weeks, just prevent anything. this isn't h1n1 it's moving faster and having a greater impact in some places like Italy where currently 1200 deaths a 14% mortality rate. in a month they were healthy uninfected to dead infected

Mother in-law wanted to come visit from France this month. So glad she never booked her plane tickets.

I don't think anyone needs to panic buy. I think we should all have some dried rice and beans in the pantry and a plan for survival.
The chart listing recovery data in comparison to infected tells the tale of two cities. Those with proper response measures and those without
