I have a 2019 Tacoma SR double cab short bed V6 4wd. I like the look of the fat 16” tires but would like to eventually change the steel wheels to something better looking . My factory tire size is 245/75R16. I am looking at a set of take offs from a TRD Off Road that are 265/75R16. Same sidewall aspect ratio (75) so they will be a little taller as well as wider. Will these tires create any problems since they are taller and wider than the factory tires on my SR? Has anyone done what I am considering? Thanks.

As factory Off-Road tire size is 265/70-16.
Changing your tire size to 265/75-16 is no problem.
They’ll fit your truck just fine.

265/75-16 fits. It is as big as you can go without rubbing.

Well, can also fit 255/85-16 without rubbing.

I have 265/75/16 size in snow tires on stock 16” off road wheels. No rubbing or issues at all. Have OEM mudflats.

But, will a 4” lift affect my use of 325x40xR12 tires? Will it rub when I’m stopped at a no left turn sign?

Will not rub but will scrape your calipers.

Drums are better anyways. Get the Pelfreybilt front drum conversion kit. Think TacomaBeast carries it.

I heard Pelfreybilt is hard to get a hold of, but if you just send them the 50% down, they will get back to you.

That is a good thing though, right? They will be “right size” when finished the finishing process. There was a Red Green episode on this if I recall correctly. :woot:
