Who cares that the shelves have no toilet paper on them. You can always clean your ass like me. But if there’s a run on litter and wet food I might just lose my shit.

 

We feed Otis wet food at 4:30, any time between 3-5, he will act like he hasn’t been fed in weeks. He has dry food available all day but poor guy is starving to death at wet food time.

 

Same with our Bella.

 

Im always impressed with their internal clocks.

 

I wish I could free feed Helen. I adopted her 6 months ago from the local humane society at a hefty 16.2lbs. Her ideal weight is 12. Her last weigh in she was 13.5lbs! But she is always hungry. I had an auto feeder but she would hover around it all day so I put it away. She stresses me out with all her hovering. She is constantly crying for food. I feel bad for her but she is already way healthier. I know she will be a cat that will always be on food restriction.

 

I free fed Harley for years before I had to stop because he needed to lose weight and maintain it. For the last couple of years we put out a 2 small cups of food for both cats in the AM and then they split one more between them at night. Took him a little while to get used to it but it's his new normal now

 

That gives me hope that she may eventually accept this as her new normal. She’s 11 and has probably always been free fed.

 

Hi all. I’ve been away for a bit and I know I’m behind the times but I just had to say.....

So sorry to hear this. It’s always hard to say goodbye. You’re with a bunch of manly guys who all have shed quite a few tears over losing a loved kitty. Hell, I shed tears over hearing about others who have had to say goodbye. These cats are our constant companions and family.

Damn! As others said, thank you so much for giving him a chance and even though he did not make it, you made it so he did not suffer and was not alone.

So, so sorry to hear. It’s so hard.

 

Found this girl dumped in the desert. Inspecting my speaker install. Found her a good home.

 

Same here. Too many recently. We've been having a rough go of it lately. Seeing new young'uns like Pancake and Marty getting loving homes cheers me up a bit. That and seeing the usual suspects living their best lives. It's nice to scroll through this thread and recognize most of the cats and now know their names without reading. Have a good weekend all.
