“...When *anything* faults on the ATs causing a brake over-ride it causes a potentially dangerous situation. You can even get it for having a problem with your brake lights! Imagine that, crashing your truck because a brake light went out...l”

There’s some poor systems engineering there! Bad failure mode analysis. There was a seminal case in my field that ended up killing a few patients. Turns out the software engineers didn’t fully understand the mechanical limits (speed) of the hardware it was controlling. Operators could move fast enough on the input screens to bypass some of the safety checks. I’m simplifying of course, but in the end it was the software control system that failed to account for all possible scenarios. Patients died. Not quickly nor gently.

Only thing i like about the tss is adaptive cruise. I can live without the rest. Wish there was a way to disable it.

That’s hard news. As a 2019 AT owner, sounds like I paid $700 months ago for a tune that’s never happening. I got the 1.05 and was told to ditch it. Not for my truck. So I get a partial, beta tune for my money. I’ve been quiet and patient watching this thread go down. But now I’m being told indefinite on the AT tune, I’m chiming in now.

@OVTune is it not as simple as requiring all users to be on 04B04?

Are the ‘19s the only ones with the issue? Set the ‘16s-‘18s and ‘20s free and we’ll send our thoughts and prayers to the ‘19s :amen:

Exactly, at least give the non '19s their product. I'd take a refund. Didn't know I was signing up for a Kickstarter campaign. I thought there was an actual tune available.

    04b04 is only applicable to 2016 & 2017 automatics.

they could come from the factory with 04b00, 04b01, 04b02, 04b03 but can all be updated to 04b04

It would be nice for those on 2016/2017 trucks (04b04) that are more predictable and stable to get a final. But understand that may be hard to enforce when folks get flash happy and have a 2019.

I did purchase with the knowledge of the final coming soon for my 2016. But hey, I've gone 65,000 miles on stock as it is but I'll just run the beta for now and see how it goes.

Trading for a new MT may be an option now... almost worth taking everything off the truck... especially if the economy favors it... *gasps* "Blasphemy!" "Heretic!".

Be mad at Toyota not OV. OV is protecting his ass from dumb people that blame his product for Toyota’s engineering issues. How about the rest of us that have been on beta tunes (and even alpha tunes) for 3 years now and aren’t getting our tunes cause of a newer model ECU that has nothing to do with us? Don’t see any of the old school guys complaining cause we all know Mat will get it done eventually. Be patient, you will get your tune that you paid $700 months ago for at the same time as those of us that have been waiting years for to get a final release.

There is no product. There is no tune other than a beta. Other tunes I've spent money on were finished products.

Totally understand, especially from a business (legal) and quality control standpoint. Do what you need to do, the true players will understand and wait for when the time is right. Keep up the great work!!
