Got some nice low mile oem rear springs and lowered the rear 2”. Installed the rear 5100s. Also picked up this Leer shell today, gonna get it painted and some C clamps to properly secure it to the truck.

Also new Interstate AGM. I am ordering one of the billet aluminum hold downs that another member sells on here.

Billet TRD oil cap from a second gen 4.0. My factory one was leaky after 328k

WeatherTech laser cut floor mats. These are meant for a 1st gen double cab but fit just fine in my extra cab. I am going to add some Velcro to the bottom to help keep them from moving since the early first gens do not have the hook on the carpet for mats.

Drilled some 5/16 holes in the kicker panels and used a black pop rivets to keep the floor mats from moving at all.

Any particular reason why you went with WeatherTech vs. Husky Liners?

I had the husky ones before, they were not as thick and over a couple years the edges started to lose shape and curl down on the trans tunnel. Then a friend of mine put the weather techs in his truck and they just seem like a lot more quality and nice material.

Yep I have husky’s cause they came with the truck but weathertechs are the better mats in my opinion also.I used to have them in the front and rear of my Cummins and they were great

The factory battery bracket did a poor job of holding my battery so much so that last time I took the truck off road the battery came loose and was almost sitting in the fan/belts and I only noticed because the bracket touched one of the posts and arced off it. This new one has little adjusters on the underside of it so you can clamp it to the battery. Very nice! And I shouldn’t have anymore issues with it.

Maybe an odd question, but did the intake plenum? (the bare silver metal intake in the top dead center of the engine compartment) come that shinny when you bought it used or did you use something to clean it up? Mine is all pitted and dull looking.

it’s always been decently nice, but I’ll spray everything down with simple green and pressure wash and then use tire shine on the engine bay let it sit and then rinse it off. Then use a towel to dry everything that I can.
