Hey that AC unit on the floor bet it doesn't work! I had 2 last year that died under warrany and impossible to get serviced. At the end of the summer Frigidair sent me a letter saying I had 30 days to buy a new unit and submit a claim for cost of a new unit less taxes and shipping.

Really like your install for onboard air. Did you manufacture the supporting box would like to something like this for the cubby hole.
Currently making a portable onboard 12v water pump kit for my portable propane heated shower unit.

Me as well. Panic doesn't help anyone or solve the problem.
Much smarter to be vigilant, heed the advice of health professionals and do the obvious like washing hands, ect., ect.
Out of something bad usually comes something good. Maybe it's time for U.S. to realize that being dependant on other countries IS NOT the smart thing to do.
Think of how easily something like this could be done intentionally. Hopefully this is a wake up call for our country!

I hav a feeling the actuator/ return spring they use is weak. I'm going to give it another 2 weeks of operation before I purchase another actuator. So far it has been working fine. I will update.

I have contacted Crutchfield about a similar situation like this in the past. You can inquire when they will have an adapter available. If enough people ask they will make it happen.

Here is what I have right now, Im going to weld some flat steel around the top, then just cut up a ratchet strap as a hold down. THen I need to weld some thick plate to the bottom that lines up with the bed bolts and another piece that lines up with the tracks.

Thanks man. Actually that A/C still works pretty well but my fingers are crossed on that one. Who knows if it'll make it through another summer because I've had it awhile. It's a BEHEMOTH of a window unit though. They should use that thing in the worlds strongest man competition.

For the compressor mount, I got it from Expedition essentials website. Disclaimer though, I cannot recommend this kit to anyone as I had to do a lot of tweaking and modification to get this thing installed. The holes they tapped for the power plug adapter plate were not the correct size so I ended up shearing a bolt off in the threading. The holes on their template plate did not match the spacing on the acutal mount itself, so I had to do some bending to get those to line up. It's not a bad product and I'm loving the end result, but I would only get it if you are feeling handy and ready to get creative.

Agreed. I tried to buy a shovel last year and it was NOT made in North America. Therefore, I kept looking for one that was.

No link. I made it myself. Lights from LED superstore, $11.49 to the door, 1"x.125" flat bar, welder and some patience.

I'm sure it did not come off your truck. I don't think there is any brass on a Toyota. Cost is way too much.

It has been identified as a "butt plug". End of story.

Great idea :thumbsup:I need to make one so they lay on its side(narrow side) because my tonneau and bed mat wont allow them to stand up.
