    Last week I insalled shocks on my 2019 OR AT DCSB.

    Bilstein 6112 with 600lbs coils on the front, 5100s on the rear. Got the assembled front struts so didnt manage the coils myself.

    Kept the stock height, just wanted a better ride.

    Got them from Wheelers Offroad. Nice guys, helpful with pre-purchase and installation questions. Definitely recommend.

    Here's the full list of tools I needed in case anyone finds it useful.

    There's overlap with multiple sockets and wrenches due to space and torque settings.

    • 1/2 impact wrench
    • 1/2 deep impact sockets (mm) -- 19,21
    • 1/2 shallow impact sockets (mm) -- 12,14,17,19
    • 1/2 torque wrench (50-250 ft/lbs)
    • 1/4 socket extender -- Was the perfect size to poke out the front lower shock bolt with a rubber mallet
    • 3/8 breaker
    • 3/8 sockets (mm) -- 10,12,14,17,19
    • 3/8 torque wrench (5-80 ft/ lbs)
    • 3/8 wratchet
    • 3 ton lift
    • 6 ton stands
    • Angle detector on homemade level -- To get ballpark camber before/after measurements
    • (Not shown -- stands and string to get ballpark toe for before/after measurements)
    • Cable ties (for rear shock piston sleeves)
    • Crescent wrenches to hold counter-spinning nuts and bolts in place
    • Gear wrenches (mm) -- 14,17
    • Tie rod puller -- Invaluable if you detach the UCA or tie rod ball joints (save the time and energy of beating them with hammers)
    • Small rubber mallet
    • Various pliers for pulling castle nut pins, snipping, etc.
    • Visegrip wrenches to hold counter-spinning nuts/bolts, and to hold the rear shock piston bars in place while removing/installing (padded with a rag to avoid scratching )
    • WD40
    • Wheel chocks

    For street driving, I'm equally on the interstate, steep/hilly/curvy country roads, and suburban/urban streets. Feels firmer and more controlled all around.

    Wind on the highway now just feels like resistance, not the sensation of boating on the ocean.

    There are lots of curves in my semi-rurual area I can now take with one hand, and I can keep control easier even 5/10mph faster than normal (may not be a good thing...)

    And, laugh if you want, but it seems my MPH nudged up a few decimal places. I'm pretty sure that's because it no longer bounces around in the wind. It doesn't seem to drop gears as readily with a wind gust.

    The less bouncing is from the better valving on the new shocks. I’m curious how the coils will perform for you over time since the stock coil on the 3rd gen OR is a 700lb coil. Depending on coil length 13”-14” the weight can vary for performance

    I'm pretty sure Bilstein specs their 600lb springs for stock height, which is what I wanted. Definitely would like to know if that's wrong.

    If it work for you that’s all that matters. Heavier coils are used on the 3rd gens stock vs the 2nd gens
