haha I looked at one with her, but they were out of our budget.
Gotchya. You'll definitely want to install those whenever you can. The BL mods add extra leverage for pulling off the bumper... I dont want to see you rip off the mounts on the frame!! lol

    Stockplus has a unique request........

    1. Where would you put the license plate?
    2. Where exactly would the reciever hitch be?
    3. Is his bumper getting the winch option along with the reciever hitch?

These seem like great options. I'm in Texas, not sure if it's cool to ride around town without a front license plate in these parts.

Hi! I'm a longtime lurker and very infrequent poster -- #2 on the "other" order list.

Muy Grande, check out page three on Eric's build:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-builds/17769-relentlesstacos-build-up-3.html

I saw a guy who had done this with an ARB bumper and asked Eric if he could do it...and it turns out that it was old hat for him. I should have consulted with his build thread first!

The bumper will essentially be the same as you see, with (I am assuming) slight mods to fit the receiver tube in the fairlead cutout. The receiver mount will bolt to the regular winch mount inside as in Eric's "angry tube" bumper. He is fabbing me a license plate mount as well -- I just requested that it "look good" and fit with the lines of the base bumper.

I am pretty excited! I don't have a need to carry around a winch every day, but there are times when it would be great to mount one up. I also think this is the best looking bumper for 2nd gens I have seen.

I'm a Texas peace officer. No it's not. Can't put it in the front window either.

I've got mine mounted in front of the three bottom holes. It's flush to the bumper and hard to see, but I haven't had anyone stop me about it.

Eric, I'm interested in adding a hoop. I sent a PM the other day, let me know if we can work it out sometime.

How about a "rear bumper guard" (something like the one WAAG has, but it can not cover the rear liecence plate like the one N-FAB makes...you'll get ticketed in Ohio)? I will be getting the Avid front lightbar/bumper guard at somepoint, and want something similar for the rear for some added protection.

I don't want to replace the rear bumper, I like the look, but since it is lifted I want some protection incase someone rear ends me...don't need the running into the axle.

I have the factory hitch, and also I have the "WHITE NIGHTS" back up lights that fit into the receiver hitch...so clearence need to be made for them.

I have e-mailed Brandon at AVID several time earlier this year (and even at the end of 2009), and he keeps telling me it's on his top priority list but nothing yet. there are many members on this sight that have said they are really interested in something like this.

No problem. I know there will be some demand for them, especially if their not just for looks. :)
