I researched, watched and read for over a year before I pulled the trigger. 2.0 beta is working great, I cant wait till final. It will be well worth the wait without bitching!

While this isn't super important, I already got 2.0 Public loaded. But I am going in this week to try and get some things fixed at Toyota and was curious, should I ever need to return to stock - why there isn't an 04B04 stock tune for 2016 AT in Flash Manager, but there is for 2017. Since it's the same ECU calibration, would the 2017 04B04 work on my 2016 should the need arise?

    Screen Shot 2020-03-15 at 1.07.20 PM.jpg Screen Shot 2020-03-15 at 1.08.02 PM.jpg

And I'm all in for a 2.0 release for 2016-2018 trucks if at all possible, that would be fantastic. Just bought it last month knowing one would be coming soon, so I'll remain hopeful for me and my '16.

Just did my first drive on 2.0 beta and by golly it held 6th gear going 75 in Kansas. That's almost never happened unless there's a tailwind.

16-17 04B04 is exactly the same.

Yes. 04B04 is the right one, even though model year doesn't match. That's the one you want.

There’s nothing wrong with the 2019 shifting. That was on earlier models only. Toyota improved the ECU starting with 2019. The 1.05 tune seems better in earlier 3rd gens because that tune made those trucks drive as good as the 2019 and 2020. This is why the 1.05 and the Beta tune doesn’t have much, if any felt improvement on the 2019 and 2020. This is why the 2019 guys are ready for 2.0, so they can finally feel an improvement over stock because that $700 didn’t gain them any feel. The only thing it gave them was a early shift from 3rd to 4th gear which is a worse shifting transmission than with factory tune

No backlash from this 2019 owner. You do whatever you need to do to keep people safe. Good things come to those who wait

On Toyota Owners portal I did not see a recall for my truck as of a week or two ago.

They’re still adding more VINs. Which is one of the reasons why Mat might be choosing to delay the release until after the recall is finished and figured out

I’m still running 1.05 93 FOB cuz I’ve got a handheld and I’m waiting for the 2.0 SFOB.bin files via email from Mat. But I’m definitely happy with 1.05!!
