How do I stop all the emails?

I signed up here yesterday and woke up to my email inbox flooded with alert emails from TW. I don’t want that, but I do want alerts on the forum itself. I can’t seem to find the setting to stop the emails without turning off alerts completely.

 

click You at the top of the page under the TW banner. select Alert Preferences. uncheck your boxes and save at the bottom.

edit: it was in regular Preferences, not Alert Preferences.

 

click on watched threads. at the bottom you can click on selected. it should say email no email check each one and click select

 

So I do want the alerts, on TW itself, I just don’t want them emailed to me.

 

open your preferences and read away. self explanatory.

 

I’ve gone through the settings, which is why I’m asking here, no where do I see the option for emailing alerts.

 

ok, i may have mislead you but don't be afraid to dig around, nothing will break.

open Preferences.
you'll see how you get notifications automatically.
if any of the "and receive email notifications" boxes are checked then uncheck them.

when you post or like something, i suspect you are clicking through a pop-up dialog asking if you want to receive notifications and how, and you may not be reading it clearly or at all. have you noticed the dialog after saving a post?
