What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Love it! Just finished up a DIY trailer with the gf.

 

How difficult was it to do this?

 

It wasn't too bad, it took me about 3 hours. It does require soldering very small LEDs on a circuit board with a soldering iron. I got the idea from this youtube video. The guys also gives a very thorough explanation of how to do it.

Front tints done

 

Mine are on all the time. The only thing that changes in mine is the little lightbulb lights up on the dash when I turn the headlights on.

 

Method NV 17x8.5+0 with 265/70r17 BFG KO2’s. I’m going to be going to 255/80r17 Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws this year

Pulled the radio I installed Friday out and swapped the main unit for the kenwood dmx9706s with wireless CarPlay. I made it 24 hours before the pulling my phone out of my pocket and plugging it in pissed me off of using the 6906s luckily for me they used the same wiring harness, same mic, same everything. I had to reprogram my maestro rr for the unit and now I’m happy.

 

Added grill lights. Got em wired to be on all the time. Makes up for not having DRLs.

 

Beat the shit out of my firewalls even more, cut my fenders, and mounted my 315s. No rubbing at full lock .

Also drained and filled my transmission fluid twice with a little driving/gear changing in between. Got a fresh 6 gallons in her. Put back what I took out, checked at temp, and she was a tad low off the factory line as I had read about. Not anymore though .

 

Finally finished the suspension yesterday. I think I may go back to stage one on the RXT leaf pack. Still have some adjusting to do, CMC, wheels, tires, etc.

 

Looks good what lights did you use and how did you mount them?

 

What size tires you running? Good looking truck!

 

I put 4 on my truck, didn't wanna be like the Raptors, lit them up, didn't like them, never turned them on again. They look good on other trucks, just not for me, I put sequential arrows in my mirrors instead, lol

 

Anybody got any links for cam bolts

 

from the HDMI port thru 3 different cable sets to get to Iphone...

 

Cheap ones from Walmart. They were $18.88. They come with 3m tape to hold them on. I had to make a bracket for the middle one for it to fit.

 

Looking at an RXT pack. What did you go with and how much lift did it give? I see their 1st option claims 1.875" unloaded.

 

I put the 2nd stage in. It gave me about 2.5 inches in the rear which is a little high for the factory set Kings up front. It’s also a little rough riding with no weight.
I’m going to drop it to stage one, that should level it and give a softer ride.

 

Nothing to crazy today. Just washed my truck and plan on putting new brakes on my truck soon.
