you shouldnt have to drain too much of the coolant. being its up high. You dont need to replace the intake manifold gaskets. only the lower plenum gaskets. those gaskets on the plastic manifold can be reused unless theyre old.

 

its meant to be ran without a fan.. just cleaner.

 

Well, I already ordered the new o-ring gaskets for the intake. I'll see how they look when I get the manifold off. Won't hurt to have an extra set around if I need them again for some reason.

 

youve made me want to do the 12 hole injectors more than before... i think this fall i'll do the headers, injectors, port the throttle, and some other stuff... we'll see. trucks got power as it is.. i'd love to have more!

 

Basically, it doesn't have studs? You could just remove the studs and get the same thing, right? I'm gunna have to look up a pic of the 3uz one.

i have a full set of 8 1zz fuel injectors.. theyre close in CC (5 less than the DD ones) i might try them... we'll see

 

What's the hole count on those? Also 12? I have 2 spare sets of 4 hole injectors now.

 

i should asked ya to measure the plenum throttle opening size and the opening of the throttle body.. hmm oh well

 

1zz injectors are 12 hole.

 

Hey do you have a picture of the injectors up close? im starting to wonder if hes sourcing 2az injectors? i have tons of those..

 

I can still do it since I have to take the intake off again. I did notice that the newer TB (2006 vs the old 2003) was slightly larger on the outside when I was putting the intake tube back on. Still fit but that rubber pipe had to stretch a little more to go on.

 

Best I can do for ya. I neglected to take pics of the injectors themselves otherwise. They are fully rebuilt OEMs tho, not cheap replacements.

 

if you can remember measure the back of the TB and the inlet of the plenum. then i'll see what i can source as larger TB wise. (think the 5.7l one will work unless the 4.7 already has the 76mm throttle)

 

ok so hes not using the greens. i have like 20 greens off 1az/2az motors and the full set of blues from 1zz motors.

i steal all that shit of motors being sent back as cores.
