What's the usual PSI for bumpstops?

 

We'll see how it goes - those guys have built some seriously tested link setups

Damn, that's the reading I got from a filled bumpstop. Something wrong with my gauge maybe?

 

Was the bump charged before you got it? By "adjust" I meant "tune"

 

Yeah it was charged, that's the reading I got as soon as I screwed my gauge on. Maybe shy of 50 though.

 

You got a no loss chuck and the plunger was as far out as possible when you screwed it on?

 

I think they say 150 on the cap unless I'm mistaken - should be what they're set at King

 

Cap doesn't say.

 

Maybe the plunger wasn't all the way up, but even with that I don't know if the loss was that much.

 

You’re right I was thinking of shock resis.

 

Bump stops are just an air shock. You can adjust pressure significantly to "tune" the harshness and keep the function of the shock. 150-200 PSI is what comes standard for most manufacturers but I've seen as low as 50-100psi for certain applications.

 

I'm just wondering why they were so low being they were/are new.

Yep I think I’m around 70-80 after adjusting it a few times

 

What do y'all recommend to make new fender liners after putting glass on?

I made mine out of that stuff 4 years ago and it's held up like a champ with no dry rotting whatsoever.

 

Interesting, it might be time to this on mine.
