Yeah I’ll order tomorrow and do you have a link for the shims? The back axle definitely looks like it could use an angle adjustment.

    Hi Phil!

4crawler custom shims. 2.25" wide, 4" long, longer leaf pack center pins and whatever degree you need for your angles. My rear pinion is about 2.3 degrees off from the first section of my driveshaft, so I'm ordering 2 degree. I can fine tune through my carrier bearing.

It must be spring time! For reference those are 2.25 wide bricks, not the biggest but it was a meaty sob.

this is the only reason I dislike warmer weather. My house backs up to about 30 acres of woods. All sorts of things on the prowl.

In happier news, my big fella is 8 years old today! Couldn’t imagine life without Oscar, truly my best friend. He’s been enjoying this last year with his new brother too, they are quite the pair.

    From AlabamaWX

ON THE MAPS: A stalled front is over South Alabama this morning, and again we have a big temperature range across the state. At 5:00 a.m. CT, Haleyville reports 43, while Dothan is at 65 on the south side of the boundary. The front will slowly drift northward today; the sky will be mostly cloudy and we will have a few scattered showers around later today and tonight. Nothing widespread, nothing heavy. The high will be in the 60s over the northern half of the state, with mostly 70s for South Alabama. A few spots there could touch 80.

MID-WEEK: The weather will trend warmer. The high tomorrow will be in the 68-73 degree range, followed by upper 70s Wednesday, and low 80s Thursday. The sky will be occasionally cloudy tomorrow and Wednesday with a few scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm, but again the rain won’t be very widespread or heavy. Thursday looks mostly dry with a mix of sun and clouds.

FRIDAY: A cold front will push into the state, setting up a good chance of rain, and possibly a few thunderstorms, by Friday afternoon into Friday night. Rain amounts should be around 1/2 inch, and we are not expecting any severe thunderstorms. The high Friday will be in the mid 70s.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: The front will drift into South Alabama and stall (much like the front we have there this morning). The day will be mostly cloudy and cooler over the northern half of the state with some patchy light rain possible; highs will be in the low to mid 60s. Sunday looks generally dry with only isolated showers; the sun peeks out at times with a high in the mid 60s. South Alabama will enjoy highs in the 70s this weekend.

NEXT WEEK: The overall pattern won’t change much, with an upper trough over the western U.S… and a ridge over the eastern states. There will be some risk of showers on most days, but again we see no signals of any really excessive rain or severe thunderstorms. Keep in mind March can feature some very volatile weather, so we are quite blessed that the pattern is fairly benign for the next 7-10 days. See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.

ON THIS DATE IN 1942: A total of 26 significant tornadoes, including five violent ones and 18 killers, would cause 148 fatalities from Illinois and Indiana, through Kentucky and Tennessee into Mississippi and Alabama. The Delta towns of Itta Bena and Greenwood were hit around 3 p.m. by a family of twisters that killed 63 people. Five automobiles were hurled into the Tallahatchie River near Greenwood, killing six. Two school buses were hit. The hospital at Grenada was missed by just 20 yards, even as doctors and nurses worked on patients from the first big tornado.
Just after 5 p.m., a powerful tornado struck the northern part of Baldwyn, Mississippi, north of Tupelo. The F4 tornado killed five people. Even as rescuers were digging through the rubble of over 50 destroyed homes, a second tornado roared into the town a scant one half hour later. No one died in the second tornado, although it destroyed twenty five percent of the business district. The twin tornadoes that struck Baldwyn were the subject of tornado legend for many years

Yeah tell me about it. The kids are out, but my wife (teacher) still has to go to school today.
I got told on Thursday to work from home, on Friday was told to come into the office on Monday, most in the office are predicting that we will be told this afternoon to work from home again. It's annoying how the corporations can't make up their mind.

I understand the position that Boeing is in, being a production facility and all. They can't send all the support functions home and keep the factory workers here, so if they send us all home all the work just stops.

BUT we keep getting emails that our health and safety are the #1 priority and I call BS on that, making money is #1 lol. I just had a meeting with 20-25 people have of which are 60 years old and above so "at risk" and no concern whatsoever.

I could work from home if I had to but management is resistant to the idea. A guy that has traveled thru the Atlanta Airport last week to Phoenix showed up to work today. Says he's not touching anything. That's impossible. This will NOT get better until we resemble Italy!

Will it suck to stay home for 2 weeks, yes. Will the economy take a hit, yes. It's the only way to stop the spread.

People still running marathons, going to St patty's day functions, coming to work after traveling thru the busiest airport in the world. All of these actions continue the spread. I have to check on my Dad all week because my sister can't. He's got diabetes and is on dialysis. If he gets it, he would probably not make it. History of smoking back in the day and all that. Me being here is endangering him but you can't make people understand that until something affects them personally.

I think that superintendent said it best when he said something along the lines of:

"in a few months it will be impossible to know if we overreacted or did too much, but it will be painfully obvious if we didn't do enough"

NOW is the time to figure out how to work from home. NOT two weeks from now when the government shuts down all non essential businesses and makes us stay home. Spain, France, Israel....all of the these countries are shutting down. What makes Americans think we are better and immune to that? A virus is a virus. All be it this one doesn't have a high mortality rate but it sure as heck kills elderly people. We need to be putting in place ways to get food to the elderly. How to get them supplies because they HAVE to stay home. Stores need to put a stop to hoarding by not allowing people to buy 4700 rolls of tp and 57 bottles of Hand sanitizer. Buy what you need, not what you greed.
