That looks like my kids’ gum they spit out of the window on the way by there! If it’s tastes like grape or blueberry, I would throw it away.

What is it, turquoise? I can’t see color on my phone in the sun very well because I’m outside in Barstow right now on our to go prospecting very soon!:bananadance:

we were northwest of Baker at Coyote (not very) Dry Lake. Standing water everywhere, they got some good rains the last few days and the wildflowers are just starting out- another good year for those in a few weeks!

I grew up in Yuma and your second photo looks like an old mining camp southeast of Yuma near the bombing range. Really cool area. I studied geology at the community college and then at NAU.

You are right, the area Northwest of town looks like that- I worked on doing bat surveys in a mine out there there that was about 350 feet underground. It was really hot at the bottom levels, over 95° even in winter due to thermal flux from the earth, the bats really liked that and were quite active even in the winter because of it. Never saw so much sh.. (guano) in my life, it was piled over two feet thick in places and covered everything, it was really gross!

Neat mine though, since the bats had so much stuff piled all over down there, there were a lot of artifacts that were left behind because nobody in their right mind goes down there except for batty biologists and geologists.

Isn't it the case that when there is a lot of guano present that there is also LOTS of cockroaches??
If so, I'm out...wouldn't go in there for any amount of gold. I could deal with the Bat s&*$, but not cockroaches.
There are 2 things in this world that truly scare me...the IRS and cockroaches.
