Yes. I need to save up some money. I think the 5spd swap is first. I hear that a manual and 4.88's can easily push 35's. So I'm hoping it helps a lot on 33's. I want a 5spd anyway so I'll evaluate my need to 5.29's after that. I think I'll be the only manual, DCSB, 2.7L, 4x4. Unless you beat me to it. :D

Hey Johnny. How's it going? I'll help anyway I can. I didn't do a good job documenting the process, but I'm sure I can still remember a lot of the useful info.

Had a quick little trail ride this weekend. Got the truck muddy then had to clean it real good on Sunday.

@jowybyo do you know the measurements of the driveshaft from tcase to rear diff? Im getting a custom one built most likely and need to know the measurements.

No. I just measured the length of the tail housing on the 2wd transmission and subtracted that from the length of the tail housing plus t-case on the 4wd tranny. Then I had them chop my driveshaft shorter by that amount. I think it was like 13" shorter.

Good Idea. Im going to order a one piece so i dont have to worry about the carrier, Plus its stronger and most likely will cure lily vibes.

I've heard mixed reviews on the one piece on DC's. The driveshaft is really long. You can end up with not great angles and the driveshaft can jump rope a bit. At any rate, I have vibs like crazy so it's worth a try.

    A combo of the following:

    1. https://parts.mcgeorgetoyota.com/ - They seem to be the cheapest online for most stuff.
    2. https://www.amayama.com/en - They are crazy cheap but shipping is expensive straight from Japan. Get a list of everything and send it all at once. I spent at least $150 too much on shipping because I kept forgetting stuff.
    3. eBay - I found new OEM CV axles for $75/ea. Just have to be patient here.

Got a ton done on the truck this weekend while visiting my mom on the coast. Also got to tune up the boat for the summer if the virus doesn’t kill everyone by then!

relocated my air chuck to the bumper. Painted my rci skid and cleaned it up. Cleaned up the wiring in the engine bay. Got my bed outlet operational again. Cleaned up my bot changed the oil and filter with spark plugs.

    passed the break in period

Racks great man. No complaints. lots on mounting options and is very strong. Mounted it down with all you see in my pics and offroad it all the time with zero issues. I run their bed stiffners as well which are a must if you load up the racks like that.
