15min +/- Off the 64. Would be a good place to stop after hitting up the forest roads all day in the mountains.

Thanks for the invite! I like pizza... and I'm only a little ways away from there.

Jk, giving you a hard time. Looks really good. We need to hit bottoms up sometime.

Happy Monday folks. Hope everyone’s got an exciting week ahead of them.

I’m currently sitting in the Dulles airport waiting to board a flight to Atlanta, and then Wednesday I’ll drive to Huntsville for a few days, then fly back Friday. Always fun and games for me!

    Sticking this here, too.

The following is a Public Service Announcement......

VA4WDA is doing there annual Earth Day clean up, out at Flag Pole this year. Dates are April 3-5.

just saying, in case any planed trips are out there that weekend. I’m sure it will be busy as hell with a lot of vehicles from every direction. Most are from the Beach/Hampton rds. area, with others from around the state. Mostly jeeps with other 4x’s mixed in.

You may now return to your normally scheduled programming.

I’ve still never gone up there. I would love to do a weekend campout there sometime this summer. As long as I can do the climb in a PreRunner, but it would be fun as hell I think.

You can do the climb in a stock Corolla, passed a couple of those and a rav4 last time I went.

 Now that I think about it, I think you told me that a while ago, but I had forgotten you said that. Maybe we can all find a weekend this summer that works to head up there.

At Flagpole? There is no way a Corolla went up there. At least not up the routes I have been up there

    If one did....

They went in across the top (FS85), by way of Briery Branch rd. That is the smoothest/easiest way to go.

3..... 3 ways to get to Flag Pole. Think of the childhood 3 bears story, but with forest roads instead of beds.

That’s something you don’t see every day. Bug towing half a bug.

Looks like we can all save on sports channels this year. No need to get any with everything being cancelled
