I have a 2009 taco db 6-lug 4x4 and was looking at some 16" BLACK MB Chaos 6 WHEELS RIMS 6x139.7 (6x5.5") LUG with a -6mm backspacing and was wondering if they would fit the truck.

Also, I have some Kelly Safari Trex 255/75/R16 tires and was wondering if they would fit this wheel?

Depends on the rim width. The -6mm you posted is the offset, not the backspacing. Backspacing is calculated by using rim width and offset. Ideal backspacing is 4.5" to run up to 285's.

10" tire on an 8.5" rim. I think that's ok. Anyone else?

If 8.5 is the rim width, then the backspacing with a -6 offset is 4.5", so you are good to go there as far as rim fitment. Just make sure that brand of wheels will clear the front calipers. Certain 16's won't.

The BS won't be a concern with a 255 tire. He could run them on stockers.

True, he'd be good with anything between 4.5" and 5.5".

OP didn't tell us a rim width. I assume someone looked up those rims to come up with 8.5? At any rate: OP: Check the tire specs from the mfr and make sure that the range of rim widths for the tire includes the width of the specific rim you're considering. Otherwise, looks good to go.

At 16" rims - one consideration is some 16" aftermarket rims hit the caliper. That's more a function of rim style than any of the specs, so it's hit or miss, if you'll pardon the pun. Only thing you can do is try it, unless you can find someone who's already mounted that specific rim in that specific size on a Taco of this generation.
