I have had nothing but problems with the common inflatable mattress (coleman, ozark, whatever brand). At best I'd get a season out of them before they popped or just didn't hold air. The best one I ever used was an REI camp air mattress (Therm-a-rest style), only like 2.5 in thick it's comfy and has lasted about 6-7 seasons of camping, and I get a better nights sleep on it than I ever did with the regular air mattresses. They aren't cheap, but at least you aren't tossing a whole air mattress in the garbage every year.

Agreed on the warmth and for the nicer style mattresses. I got the Exped Duo and it’s comfy!

The Exped Duo is the reason I bought my Drifter. I thought it was the answer to all my problems so I picked it up and tore a hole in it on my first night in Death Valley. I was able to patch it up, but that was the last straw with anything inflatable for me.

Snap! Well I use mine inside my RTT for extra comfort. I hope not to tear mine!

And now thanks to that tear you have a Drifter. Thanks Exped!

you mean it wasnt the 24/7 talk on the radios and around the propane camp fire about how much better our trip would've been in a drifter? haha

I mean that helped. But if I had come home from that trip all comfy and cozy I don't think my order would have gone in.

That's why I like my synthetic sleeping bag. Not as light or doesn't pack like down but works compressed and wet (typically).

This is a forum dominated by testosterone, when you say “ma girls” people have to read twice and check for context clues too..... oh you mean daughter... got it. Tell Matt he needs to play nice, also ask him if he wants me to drop off tools Friday or what? (my lively hood is dependent on senior care so I refuse to chance anything/ won’t beat Mod day)
