I’m not saying you need a Pull Kitchen, but I am saying you might want one.

My business partner and I are launching PULL KITCHEN which is a truck-based kitchen for off-roading. We were tired of bins and thought there’s got to be a better way, and out of that frustration I made my first kitchen drawer out of 1/2” ply, then v2 was extruded aluminum and plywood, and now our production model is all aluminum and composite materials. Only the sliders are steel.


These 500 pound rated sliders don’t require a support leg (though we know it freaks some people out). This kitchen solution gives you a fully self-contained drawer for your:
1) pantry storage
2) kitchen storage
3) flat prep space
4) sink
5) burners
6) water
7) lights
8) independent power source

When you roll up to camp it literally takes 10 seconds to set up your kitchen. Pull out the kitchen, extend the top to expose the sink and burners, and turn on the lights if you roll in after dark. Press the kill switch for the faucet-actuated pump and you’ve got water. The drain tube extends to the ground to prevent splashing.

We have 500 dirt miles on the red kitchen unit and it really does change camping when you are moving each day. We recently camped 4 nights along the Mojave road and I was the first one cooking and on my bowl of ice cream by the time others were just starting to cook their dinner. Not that it’s a race, but it is really cool.



My experience is that a Pull Kitchen allows me more time to cook and enjoy the outdoors instead of setting up/breaking down to cook in the outdoors.

Once the mount is installed in your truck, there’s one locking pin and one bolt to secure the kitchen to your truck. This unit is easily removable or can stay in all the time. It takes 3 minutes to remove to get your truck back after camping.

We don’t have exact pricing yet but as it’s all aluminum and composite it will be in the high-end roof top tent price range.

*My original design was built for my 3rd gen DCSB, but it will basically fit all trucks depending upon clearance height if you have a tonneau (and brand). 6’, 7’&8’ beds have a longer rail mount with extra storage behind the drawer. For open beds we have fitted covers available.

PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL NEED 5 FT OF BED SPACE FOR THIS KITCHEN TO FIT. Roll up covers that take up some of the bed space won’t work

Curious. Is there someone that makes a slide for the fridge so that it can pull out and swing away from the kitchen? (so one can get at both at the same time)

Yes! We have, well I think it’s awesome, a prototype we hope to bring with us to Overland Expo West for SUV’s that will help make your cargo space more usable and provide a full kitchen. Plus it will still be easily removable.

 

In the future we are looking at versions for fishermen and hunters that meet those hobbies’ needs better. Currently I pull out my big Dometic 75DZ to the edge of the tailgate and I can get into my fridge. It doesn’t interfere with my access to the drawer

Could always make V2 in a slimmed down unit size. No higher than the thickness of the sink/stove portion. I know lots of folks who have a cap that are always looking to cut weight and still be able to use their platforms. I love your design and hope y'all kill it at the EXPO. LMK if you want one tested in AK.....

No! Less than half of that.

 

Especially if it is slimmed down to fit under a platform in a cap......

 

Cool. This thread still should conform to the normal rules though. No BST threads without pricing.

Also, just a recommendation, this shouldn't be a BST thread since you're drumming up interest and not selling anything.
