I expect everyone will have had corona virus by the end of the year. For most it will be like a bad cold or flu.

I'm think my mother-in-law might have it but my wife doesn't want to hear it. MIL has been sick for a week and has a bad cough/losing her voice. She's almost 70 and has other health issues. They live up in Norcal and she was out here visiting us recently (left 2 weeks ago). Me and my wife and daughter have been fine so at least there's that. If she had it when she was here then it's likely we'd have symptoms by now. But I keep telling her she needs to tell her mom to get checked out.

That's the hardest part about it. Both my wife and I have parents with underlying health issues who can't risk a virus this bad.

Same. Well, my parent's are 60 and 63 but still. My mom is healthy but my dad is on cholesterol meds. But my wife's parents are near 70 and her mom is pretty overweight with other health issues. If she tests positive she needs to be in medical care. But when I tried telling my wife that last night it got her pretty upset, so I dropped it for now. But I'm going to keep bringing it up because it's better she faces it and gets treated than ignore it.

The worst thing is, her mom struggles financially and still works in a small town realty office. She's been going to work all this time.

Freaking jacked up seeing silver spot under 13 bucks. Dam.
These huge wild daily swings in value are unbelievable.
When I peeked the dow Jones futures market last night and saw big drop and then they pulled the switch so no trades could be made on its futures  trying to calm the storm. Didn't work, dow dropped 2700 points to start when trading opened.
What I hate knowing in the back of my mind is that these large wild swings in all markets and commodities preceded all past crashes. But the swing doesn't mean it will crash, but all crashes in past have been preceded with days/weeks like we're now seeing.
I guess we just gotta be as observant and wise as best we can. In a couple/few months is when we'll see how the final impact of this stuff plays out

I think you're talking US spot Gold price. International commodity trading is what I was referring to.

Hate to confirm the worst, but having friends that work at Memorial Hospital (salinas), Natividad Hospital (salinas) as well as the Dominican Hospital (santa cruz), there are plenty of people that have tested positive that are from here and where your in laws are from.

    Get tested and get treated.

Her parents and brother are further inland in the city of Grass Valley (hour east of Sac), but local news there has already confirmed some cases so it's likely she's picked it up

Ah shit that's right, I was thinking about your parents.

My FIL is 83 with a lot of health issues; little nerve wrecking especially for my SO. Her dad raised her so if anything were to happen to him, she'd lose it.

I guess I don't understand why anyone would want to be unproductive, even if its for themselves.

yeah my wife is attached to her mother emotionally in such a way that if anything were to happen to her, she'd lose it as well. She's already warned me about it in the past, since her mom has had health issues for a long time. Really not looking forward to it when that happens lol. Not that anyone losing a parent is something to take lightly, but I know my wife will be crippled by it. Hopefully with our daughter now in the picture that will help her manage the grief better.

@CS_AR the secret is out...I went to pick up more Zinc today and haven't been able to find it anywhere. Not even in the supplement aisles. Sold out everywhere...finally found a bottle of Calcium/Magnesium/Zinc that I was able to get.

Magnesium gives you the shits though so I'm skeptical lol
