What we buying today?

 

He was sitting on it in April when the article was written because he was waiting for stocks to go on sale. Like now.

 

I put in some buy orders for PFE, NUE, planning on adding some F. My orders are just sitting there not filling, one disappeared. That's never happened (I use Merrill), what a mess the market is right now.

 

Well I bought more VTI today...

 

there was another shutdown right?

 

Yup, and then they were doing manual reopening of different names. I guess that's why my orders weren't being executed. They're all good now.

 

I was looking at one of the funds I follow (but don't have any shares of) and saw somebody purchased 889,000 + shares this morning and now it's already up $1.70 from that low point! I just hope the market can recover 50-75% of what it lost overnight before the close of today. For every step forward we end up with 2 steps backwards.

 

Kinda surprised no one has mentioned the latest rate cut....
Guess we get to see what zero looks like

 

It's hard to believe that today would go down as one of the worst days in the history of the stock market (top 10-15 worst days), but it doesn't even seem that bad. Not sure if that's a good thing, but I am completely numb to this at this point. Absolutely crazy stuff!

Crude under 30 bucks a barrel still blows my mind. We should see some nice gas prices for the summer at least

 

It's $1.89 here (yesterday at Costco).

 

Still $2.77 in Oregon for regular.

 

So much winning!

 

I'm now convinced that this whole corona virus thing will be disruptive enough to change our world in a material way.
Someone somewhere has an idea today that we will look back on years from now and hail as visionary genius. If we can figure out early enough what it is and invest in it, we can make a sizable chunk, but that guy..... That guy will be the next Gates or Bezos.

Woo! I hit negative earnings overall in my Roth IRA today.



Total earned: -4.38$

Right now DOW is at almost -13%

 

I bought Telsa stock about 3 weeks ago, gulp, down about 55%. Weeee!!!!!!!!!! But my new Amp steps are awesome!!

 

Well my market strategy may get flipped on its lid, my wifes company is announcing layoffs (United Airlines) and this changes my whole investment strategy and I may be going to cash here in the next up day rather than ride this out. Lights and food is my new long position rather than stocks LOL. Still trudging down the path of figuring out how to capitalize on this crises from a small business safety consulting standpoint. Need to see what kind of rules and regs will be coming out on the other side of this.

Still in it to reallocate some retirement money!
