I'm new to the forum and nowhere near a mechanic, so please forgive any egregious errors!

My fan blower switch is sticking (won't move left or right) and I'm hoping to replace it myself. I found two videos on YT (not sure if I'll allowed to post links?). One indicated I can pop off the climate control panel, slide out the old switch component/part and make a quick replacement. In adifferent video, that guy dismantled the entire dash (removing the glove box, etc) to swap out the pieces.

Do I really need to take apart the dash? Or is the fix as easy as the first video indicates?

    Thanks!
    Dee
p.s. If it matters: I replaced the blower motor ~8 months ago and air is still coming out of all vents, so I don't think that needs addressing.

Sounds like your talking about two things.

One the blower motor switch . Just be careful disconnecting the cables and the plug for the switch plastic gets brittle with age.

The one where the glove box comes out seems like the blower motor resistor .

Thank you for the reply! What I need to replace is, I believe, the blower switch -- it's the thing I'm pointing to in the attached image (it's stuck to the left like that).

If that's the case, can I just pop off that front and replace it?

You need to pull the trim around the radio

To reach all the screws to pull the complete control unit out.

Pull the knobs off that plastic cover plate pops off. Might needa little prying The AC switch pops out

It has been so long I can`t recall if you have enough slack to get the switch out or if you need to disconnect the cables to have enough room .
