Looks like my company will also be doing mostly work from home. We have the option of coming into the office but most will be working from home. I'll come in a couple times a week to take care of critical stuff, and watch the view from my office as the world falls apart.

I do but it usually gets me in trouble.

 

As nice as it would have been to have all our weekends off together, we would have had less time to play and travel since we'd both be working Mon-Fri, some weekend time would have to be housekeeping and other stuff around the house. With her OB schedule giving her days off during the week we can get stuff done while the other is working so our time off together is all ours.
I would have been cool either way until I saw how stressed she was becoming. Don't like seeing her unhappy at all so I'm all in for her going back to OB.

Other than stores being heavily depleted of supplies (thank you fuckwit panic shoppers/hoarders) thing things are pretty calm here so far. Schools are closed until 3/27 but no word on bars, restaurants etc.

We had meetings this morning to discuss cancelling certain elective surgeries but have tabled the discussion as least for today. We will likely start cancelling things like total knees and hips first when cancellations start as those are usually all older patients who get admitted for at least a couple of days post op. Trying to keep as many beds open as possible and conserve ventilators. Also trying to keep older and vulnerable people of the hospital unless they absolutely need to be here.
So far our county has not had any confirmed cases to date and Az has only had 19 total confirmed cases. Bad news is 55% of the population of the county is 55 and older so when it hits here it's likely going to be BAD. Since the beginning of last week all of the nursing homes have restricted entrance to essential staff only and are allowing no visitors whatsoever.
