TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

I can’t wait to get the ecu back. I really just want to drive it already. It spends too much time sitting in the garage.

 

I hair did the tundra filler and shipped ECU off to @JustDSM

 

I don’t think this will work on the Tundra I’m trying to get since it’s got a canister type filter

 

How much did it affect your numbers? I am so glad I had my water-resistant donaldson filter on this past weekend, you can ask @Shmellmopwho we went through a bunch of water. I had no issues, the filter definitely got wet as when we stopped to air up I saw water pooled up in my afe air box. And a lot of mud.

I will probably get a snorkel since I think it will be easier than trying to install wheel liners.

I love my snorkel. No issues going through all that water! Intake temperatures went down by close to 20 degrees compared to stock setup. It’s a true cold air intake pretty much

 

I really don't see what the big deal is about the stock fill neck and cap. It comes out of there fine, and yeah it's close to the blower inlet but it comes out without a problem and a lot more then pinkies fit in there to remove it, a little uncomfortably, but nevertheless.

That being said, I would like to do the fill neck mod as well, but it's at the low list of my priorities right now. The main one being replacing my steering wheel with a Corolla one like @arcenik did to his because mine is incredibly ratty looking after 9 years of ownership.

 

yeah its a 2015 xrunner hopefully Ill have the ecu back next week from Justdsm with the trd tune on it.

Your wheel is cocked to the left, or at least it seems like it is from the photo. The flat bottom is not truly straight huh?

Mine is cocked to the right ever so slightly in relation to where the T is.

Made in China. Nuff said. Hahaha.

 

Just go straight to the 2.7. Nobody was more paranoid then me as many can attest.......it’s worth it.

yah that is pretty snazzy. I replaced my 13' controls for 14/15 controls and that gave me better controls with a few extra wires but is a cool option.

the tundra filler mod is simple and easy takes 5 minutes if folks go for it. not expensive either.
