Looking for solutions to mounts my ARB single compressor under the hood. I know Slee and CBI make brackets, but I am trying to avoid spending the $125+ on it and I live in Alaska, so shipping is ridiculous.

Any one have any pics of how they managed to mount it without buying a pre-fabbed bracket?

I'm here to see mounts other than Slee and CBI so I can finally get around to mounting mine.

I’m going to fab a plate to go on the three studs on the passenger side. I’ll post a pic when I get around to making it.

It probably wouldn’t be too hard to make one that bolts together with a little Home Depot steel and a grinder.

    Those studs are 8 x 1.25 I believe.

I don’t have a ARB (mine is Viair) but I used the studs on the passenger side fender wall and some Home Depot steel (maybe 0.105” or 0.125”) bent in a bench vise, to make a bracket. It’s held up well for 45K miles including some Death Valley washboard.

Can you shoot me a picture of it? That is essentially what I am looking to do. Thanks!

Unfortunately the bracket itself is hidden by the compressor. But I’ll see what I can do. I made a cardboard mockup first to get it right.

I just picked up a Viair and that's what I'm aiming to do if I can't find a good place toward the rear... will probably just go under hood so I don't have to run the wires under the truck. I was thinking OBA connector on the rear bumper but under hood would be better for dust and it wouldn't require a hose run.

Anyone have pictures of the CBI bracket mounted up? Haven’t seen one of those in the engine bay.

That is a great looking set up. What all did you have to do?

$10 in hardware and paint. Bent in my vice to keep level and if I recall I found an OEM bolt or two to mount on.

I've got the same setup that's been waiting for some free time to get installed. Did you have to modify the wiring harness to be able to connect it to the aux fusebox? Also what size fuse are you using in the aux box for the compressor?

I removed the inline fuse that came with the harness and used a 40amp fuse in the fusebox. Also eliminated the air lockers part of the harness. Tapped into the engine oem fusebox to activate the relay
