While I love my M18, I have had bolts it was unable to remove. Namely, 6 bed bolts. But then, mine is only the mid-level torque model so maybe that is why.

This realy sucks. I assume you've tried driving it out with a BFH.

Out of curiosity, that was not a new bolt or new misalignments last time was it?

 

New shocks. New bolt. Antiseized.

Guessed it got worn down as it wasn't an oem bolt.

 

Oh, right. Those are the ADSs. For some reason I was thinking Kings. I know Dan had some issues too but IIRC his bolts were not a new set.

 

yeah his did what my original bolts did on the kings. Same thing.

My passenger side one is still in great shape. Looks new. Antiseize made that come right out.

Driver side though which is just a grade 8 bolt, not so much. I'll get a new OEM one.

 

What are you guys doing wrong? I'm on the same bolts and misalignment spacers for the last 5 years.

Lots of spherical bearings though.

 

Answer is easy for Dan. Excessive miles.

I figured I was being good. Basically a year old bearing which definitely need replaced. Well..they seemed okay but wouldn't have made it another year.

Didn't think I had that many dirt miles last year. I did a decent amount but didn't think a ton. So no idea..

 

Well gents, it has happened. I will be working from home starting tomorrow and for the foreseeable future.

Also, the state mandated the closure of all bars and restaurants. Takeout only ATM. No public gathering. Grocery stores and pharmacies remain open for now.

 

Well at least now you know you can work from home. So next step is making home...anywhere


Same here though. Trying to work from home but I don't really have a mastering grade studio so that's tricky..trying to get my other employees setup too. And Billings shut down everything too.

 

Thats the thing. I'm not sure I can be fully effective from here. Yeah, for the most part, sure. But many of the under appreciated things I do on a day to day will become glaring holes as time passes.

But I understand what you are saying. My project tomorrow will be to figure out how to make my IP phone work with my hotspot.

Yeah, maybe a little. I would tell you that I don't worry about things I have no control over. And for the most part this is true. But this whole scene is so unpredictable. There are too many factors to consider (worry about) so it is unsettling.

I'm trying my hardest to adapt to being okay with being extremely vulnerable right now as I know many folks I live around are as well. It's not going well, but to hear the optimism from someone who truly believes it, is a powerful thing. So thank you for that

no doubt. I mean mine is from 2007 and until well..I tried updating it was working just fine. So 7k for a new one, if it lasts 13 years, that's a good investment in the computer world.
