I'm guessing Patagonia, as they are the only ones (so far) to publicly announce that they are taking care of their employees during a forced closure.

 

Rei just did this as well with their retail stores

I'm really glad to hear more retail companies are paying their employees through these closures or at least part of it. That's defn a company you should be proud to be a part of like you said

 

My company wants us to use PTO if we get the virus as of this moment

 

Yeah. I expected them to say, "business is business and we didnt guarantee you anything when we hired you."

 

Any company will make you exhaust your PTO before you get any money from them for short term or any form of emergency money.

 

Thankfully, my company is letting employees who can work from home do so.

 

I know this is probably looking like a lousy St. Patrick's Day, BUT get out your favorite pilsner, lager or cider & some green food coloring & tune into this @ 17:00MDT on Tuesday! The most memorable St. Patrick's Day pub crawl for me included these guys starting off the evening.

My climbing gym billed me yesterday for the monthly billing cycle then sent out an email that it was closing for 14 days... something doesn't seem right

 

Poudre school district has said they will be paying us for the week after spring break as this week is our natural spring break. I suspect we may be closed a bit longer. I hope they figure it out. They were going to pay us anyway and if learning is happening online I don't see why they wouldn't keep that up..... I just jinxed that

HAaaaaa. Great idea. It would be an awesome couple of hours of freedom!

Although, we live in pretty much a totalitarian State (Little Cali). You will most certainly get arrested and prosecuted.

Everything is going to be shut down for 2-3 weeks. This is going to be interesting... the "limits" of our totalitarian "leaders" will probably be tested here in that time frame...by.. someone fun!

 

That’s true. Funny how everybody thinks it’s only going to be “2 to 3 weeks”

 

Yeesh, our climbing gym JUST opened, so they're hard up for cash, but at least they asked (we kept it going, we like them and want them to stay open).

 

Whelp, gonna take a lot to shut down the construction industry. We're still going strong with ~100 workers on site, granted the building isn't even sheathed yet. Only protocol so far is no meetings in the job trailer...While our main office is shut down with everyone there working from home.
