What carrier bearing remedy have you tried and was it successful? I have 6 inch Pro Comp. Tried 3/4 inch and 1 inch spacer supplied with kit and neither worked. I talked to Pro Comp and they want me to buy their Transmission Crossmember Drop kit part #57091B. The guy I spoke to described the vibrations I was having before I even told him and claimed the crossmember kit worked on their project Tacoma.

    Bone stock for now!
I have the 6" Pro Comp. I used washers to fine tune the spacing. I then had a one piece drive shaft made and that help also. But.....The problem that I was having was axle wrap.

I have a 4" block and the AAL. I had to change the pinnion angle and go back to the stock drive shaft. I do have 5 1/2 inch springs on order from Alcan to get rid of the axle wrap caused by the block. I know this is late but hope it helps.

I have a 1" spacer and 6" alcans springs and I still get the takeoff shutter.

I am going to be going to a 1 piece driveshaft to hopefully cure the issue

Why the 1" block after the springs? I was/am (just orderd springs last week from Alcan) on the fence about how much lift in the spring to get. Does yous sit level or was that why you needed the block?

The shutter is caused by the axle wrap and you would think that would go away with the custom springs.

Do you know the part number on your rear shocks. And how do you like them and how do the Alcan's ride and perform?

Couple shocks, some old tires, and a bad paint job
Have someone weld on new spring perches to set the pinion angle down 2-3 degrees at ride height to help with axle wrap.

maybe pro comps's traction bars if you think its axle wrap. I thought it was because of the driveshaft angle on the carrier bearing.

1" carrier drop is what I was referring too.

My truck sits about 1/2 to 3/4 ass high with 6" springs, which is what I was going for. My Icons have settled so I could crank them up a bit to level it out if I wanted. I also have 300 lbs extra carrying capacity in my springs.

I dont remember the P/N on my shocks, but they are Bilstein 5125s with 12" of travel. I think the bodies are a tad to long for this setup, but I havent really played with it to much. They are perfect at full droop. but I am concerned on up travel, I will have to go flex it out to find out.

They ride ok. I think it rides better than it did stock, but I contribute most of that to the Icons.

I still have the shutter, but the DS should fix it.
