When "the button" referred to not starting a nuclear holocaust it was easy to understand why not to push it. Now that the button refers to the ability to turn off all businesses and therefore the economy its a lot more confusing what the outcome and damages will be.

Yeah this makes no sense to me either. With the exception of the turnpike, most rest areas don't even have staff. Or the toilets are cleaned once or twice a day, which is most likely why they are shut down. It is shed through feces, and if they aren't sanitizing the bathrooms frequently it is another factor to consider.

Well to be fair since 9/11 I haven't seen much of a response other than panic to everything. As a society we aren't doing anything to educate and plan for things like this. Imagine the panic though if we did a preparedness drill for disease, nuclear war, anything. In today's society you can't even have a conversation about what you would do in the event of such happenings without someone taking those words and turning into chicken little.

Work has cancelled my job, so I'm just waiting for the ok to go camping for the next couple weeks. We are a long term care facility and I do training for the staff. I won't have training, but once this hits the area we have to isolate, therefore staffing will become an issue. I foresee almost all of admin working as direct care before the end of this. They determined if you travel out of state you are off the schedule for 7 days, and if there is a positive case they are off for two weeks minimum and must pass screening before being put back on the schedule. I don't mind working direct care, and miss it from time to time. I would want to do my 40 hours straight through though, or collect enough overtime that it is worth it.

Yeah, you can freeze these things, but I can think of more calorie dense foods to store in the freezer than something that is 98% water. If you need long term milk either by powdered or aseptic.

Also bread freezes okay but if you don't thaw it fucking PERFECTLY it ends up mushy which is just nasty.

freezing it is just a solution for longer term storage, as long as the power is not cut it deff would buy some time for a household that consumes a lot of milk :notsure:

I drink beer and seltzer, dont have kids... so aside from some milk for my :cookiemonster: cookies I leave it on the shelf for the mommys myself :drunk::cheers:

You're not shooting blanks till you're verified. You're dangerous for 3-6months.

Frozen milk is definitely not ice cream.

Nope, we always took pudding cups and stuck a stick in them to freeze.

    Pudding pops, if you will.
