I've wondered these same things. It seems like "Go home and dont come outside" is like, the least creative and least innovative "solution". HAHAHAH.

Also, with all of the other economic issues surrounding the nation and globe like baby boomers retiring in mass, elderly outliving their social security and whatnot, it seems to me, and I know this is barbaric and blunt, but, did a solution to these issues not naturally present itself?

Meaning, we have documented and forecast issues with our economy in the coming years, due to poor legislation and execution, but if a rogue virus can reduce the effects, why are we playing with it.

I know, every life matters. I get it.

The Spartans tossed the weak, small babies off a cliff before they could weaken the population. Here we are keeping the weak and compromised for no other reason than, they were born. No matter their current ability to produce anything positive for society.

    Reactive vs. proactive, I suppose.

    Yes.
And a couple generations ago, more people thought the same.
    Life is hard.
Nature is out to kill you, and will eventually succeed.

But to discuss such things now seems to be verboten.

[EDIT] There's a moral dilemma here, and make no mistake. But there it is.

    HAHAHA.

We are extending life expectancy at a pretty good rate, rather quickly. Something like this comes along and everyone FREAKS out because 87 year old grandma might pass away, even though she probably should have passed a couple decades ago. LOL.

I know that is brutally mean. I get it. However, society and systems arent updated for Eunice to be breathing at 87. Its set up for Eunice to stop breathing at 70-ish.

Another thing, are we even sure grandma wants to be alive anymore? I mean, she cant walk normally, cant sit or stand normally. Everything hurts. Many of her faculties are compromised at best. Strength is lower, balance is questionable. Has to swallow 5-30 prescriptions at least once a day just to function....

I know this is my perspective and it may not be shared by any type of majority, but, when I get to that point, toss my old, weak, unbalanced ass off a cliff tall enough to kill me. Throw me out of a plane. Something. Give me an adrenaline rush big enough to explode my compromised heart. I dont want to live if I can be useful.

My Mother outlived any joy in life.
She specified "do not resuscitate" 15 years before she died.
It was a relief for all when she finally passed at 95.
Same for my dear Mother in Law. She made it to 99.

I'm not on any medications, and I'll be damned if I want any heroic measures taken to keep me alive.
If I got cancer tomorrow, yeah I'd get treatment.
    But at some point...

    It's a toughie...:notsure:

Please keep in mind, your cost will be exponentially higher than normal, as you'll be charged accordingly to MY costs to provide this service to you.

Basically, you'll be covering my traveling costs and per diems. As well as the cost of the services.

Oh my... That's a lot of smells you got going there. Don't mix and match lol
I don't disagree with any of this. Also, boy is this a fascinating bunch of people. Some of you have the most random and interesting backgrounds.

You have a space between passion and the period. :boink:

    @Roll Tide

    A few more...

This is a different font size than the rest. If it's intentional I would make it larger or maybe italicized otherwise it looks like a mistake.
    Screenshot_20200317-073924~2.jpg

You have a space in your email address. Possibly intentional?
    Screenshot_20200317-074008~2.jpg

    Remove the additional colon.
    Screenshot_20200317-074035~2.jpg

Also your email form is blank. I would probably figure out some way to embed a form because otherwise you're forcing back and forth for information like name, number, type of car, location, etc... Just my .02.

I haven't created my empire just yet. HAHAHA.

Also, I don't easily trust others to do the work. While much of it is common sense, there are precautions I like to be aware of and I am currently working with my "co-owner" to train her up and get her to a point where she can handle all aspects without me.

Once things start rolling, my plan is to hire and train at least one other person up to the level that I can trust that they'll do my standard of service and quality.

It isn't uncommon for detailers to travel, and it isn't uncommon for a customer to cover all expenses plus per diem.

It is however, uncommon for that to be done for a fairly common vehicle or daily driver. Usually this level of service is reserved for classic cars, exotics or rare vehicles where the importance is placed more on restoration or preservation of the vehicle.

But....if you follow along on the website or social media and like what you see, I'd be more than happy to consult on your truck. I'm sure there are at least a couple of detailers in your area that are capable and talented. I'd be honored if you'd rather connect with us and work with us instead. I understand that cost plays a large factor.

If you'd like a virtual consultation, we can set that up as well. This will help you understand the options at your disposal and differentiate the difference between wanted, needed and required services.

I agree. I'm only 29, but I have thought since my teens that I don't want to live past 70.
