    well mine aren't 13oz out of whack but here's what I've got...tire loaction, weight on outside, inside, and relative position of the two.

    drivers side - front - outside 2.25 inside 1.75 (approx 90 deg. apart on the rim)
    drivers side - rear - 1.75 and 1.5 (180 deg)
    passenger - front - 1.25 and .25 (180 deg)
    passenger - rear - 1.75 and 2.75 (same)

    the vibes that I'm getting too are more in the seat/floor and not through the steering wheel - thinking that means its got to be one of the rear tires?

    but on that front one on the d/s are the weights across from each

    I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

    that's mine I bought them from Tire Rack the wheels and tires are brand new. i asked the same question when they told me it took 13oz to balance the rears.

    The reason it took so much is that the size of the wheel is 15" and there is only so much clearance so weights are placed on the inside edge of the wheel and I have a really aggressive offset -44mm.

    the weights are placed at approx. 3oclock outside and 6oclock inside on that one.

    Just got done with my calls...my shop doesn't do road force balancing but there is another place in town that does, $50 to have them do it. another place does optima balancing? they said its similar?

    going to give my guys one more chance and then resort to the road force if necessary. and yes, david, I'm always nice. Unless they give me crap...then I call my mommy and she calls the owner of the place and then he calls the shop and tells them to quit giving me crap :D

    Optima balancing is similar in that its' purpose is the same, but the technology is different. Road force applies physical force to the tire, whereas Optima uses lasers and cameras with no contact to the tire. Though I have a lot of experience with road force balancing, I can't speak for the Optima method as I have never used it myself.

    Optima balance is what i use it works great
    i have balanced a lot of tires for guys here no one has ever
    had to come back

    alright...just got back from the tire shop and a little cruise. they rebalanced the rears, both were off. now I have more weights, not less.:( oh well, its good for now. if this doesn't last then i will be off to get the road force balancing done.

    Bad news is that the guy at the shop remembered my name this time...he always remembers my truck, never my name. I think I go there too often...:anonymous:
