So, not to ask for advice and then ignore it. But I looked through my cleaning supplies and found slip 2000 that I bought last year. Any reason I couldn’t t at least try that out, versus buying something new? If it doesn’t help then it looks like I have a few other options from your recommendations.

Love the two tone look!! Black slide on top of coloured or hard chrome frame was always my fav!!

Give it a try and see. I'm not an expert in this area, trial and error are great data collectors. Just don't do it in real life, or match conditions!

I've been a competitive shooter for over 15 years and can vouch for the Slip 2000 stuff. The method P2W said for lubing is in line with what I have done.

I’ll give it a try. Looks like CLP maybe something I still need to pick up?...

IMO, the Slip 2000 will do anything you need for a pistol.

I haven’t had to buy gun lube in years, the ALG was swag at a match where Geissele was the major sponsor

I know what you mean. Between Lucas, Brownells, Slip2000 and others sample packs, I have a lifetime supply of gun oil.

Ha, good point. I went from 8200 rounds in 2015 and gradually went down to a measly 1700 rounds last year.

Went yesterday, shot a USPSA match and then did some practice. Shot a total of 340 rounds through Glock 43X and AR9. :)

Give it a try if you don't own one get a bore snake. If you are planning to run a lot of rounds run the gun a little "wet".

Just picked up a Dan Wesson Valkyrie in 9mm. Can anyone recommend a leather AIWB holster? Prefer clip versus belt loops, but am not ruling out loops.

Great, thank you. Just what I was looking for. Hadn't seen those on the 1911 forums I've been stalking.

Did you custom order for the Guardian? I'm only seeing generic 1911 with 4.25" barrel.
