They say our network can manage it but our VPN has been fucked since our windows 10 upgrade anyway. Thankfully me (and many others) dropping off and on all day long is normal for my area and I can access emails/meetings on my phone when needed.

I'm more concerned about our call centers. We have 24/7 nursing staff, pharmacy and customer care teams that are normally 100% on-site. This is a huge shift in the working dynamic for these people, but hopefully it works out in the long run.

We haven't pulled that trigger just yet. I know there are hospitals in the Phx area that have started cancelling electives but our Admin is holding on making a decision just yet. 95% of our stuff up here is elective so it's a tough call to make when we've not been hit really hard yet.

Our Win 10 upgrade here has been a dumpster fire. They did all mgmt people first and half of us couldn't log in on a Monday morning. This Monday was also the Monday when payroll is due. Made for an interesting morning. Now they're upgrading staff people and people are literally disappearing from the network and seemingly into thin air. Accounts have to be completely recreated.

Big changes for everyone. You'll find out soon enough who is adamantly opposed to change during this mess.

We had to re-request all our applications and access we needed after our upgrades which charges to our individual cost centers so like a bitch I took the time to go through all my ticketing history to cross reference my original request since a lot of times they're like why do you need a $700 application?

You know what our VPN work around is when it disconnects and won't reconnect? Reboot your computer. Fucking seriously? Yes, let me reboot my computer 20 times a day when I'm in the middle of calls. That is NOT a solution.

Thankfully most of us can laugh about it now but its still frustrating. Oh and they upgraded our webex a few weeks ago so it tries to auto start your webcam and now takes you a few minutes to get into a call.

 

So far so good

 

Wait until tomorrow..... it will plummet like Charlie sheen's career.
