Hey y'all.! I'm a new SD Tacoma owner, got a 2020 4x4 and I'm looking for a new community to hook up with! I'm not too far from Carrol Canyon, a buddy of mine works out there, too! I live a ways out in East County, hoping to meet new folks and learning a lot about my new truck. I want to truly experience all that I can with this beauty!

Edit: spell no good I can

Nice ride, Corral canyon has some trails that will pull those nurf bars right off. Id invest some sliders if you wanna play out there. But we can show you plenty of fun trails that wont rip them off :D

Well, meets can resume once this Corona event passes. Solo runs and tv will have to do for now!

No need for solo runs, 1 per truck is plenty of social distancing

    Welcome!

What @Prayn4surf said, those steps will get ripped off quick haha. But there are some trails that won’t be a problem until then

Whelp, my neighborhood is no longer a safe haven...

An Escondido Fire Paramedic is infected with covid19 and they're tracing his calls for the last three weeks as well as his co-workers. It really sucks for everyone when emergency personnel are taken off-line like this. My office is skeleton right now and I fully expect to be "teleworking" starting tomorrow for the next few weeks.

Welcome! And as said below I've personally seen those steps whack the sill plate on the truck and cause some pretty good damage. Just be mindful of your ground clearance.

Even worse than ripping off they will gouge the truck pretty bad if ya really slam em! Especially if you see how they are mounted!

Not surprised. This thing really is working it's way through society like any other virus, flu, etc. The panic over this one is that it's new and scientists are still trying to figure it out. At least they have test vaccinations going on in WA state right now.

Seems that's how its gonna go for just about everyone, went out to eat last night and there was literally NOBODY in the restaurant, and that was the last night they will be open for walk in patrons, they will now start doing delivery only with a skeleton crew until further notice, seems as though everything for dining/bars locally will be closed by this weekend, wonder how long they can survive operating that way?

Is it just me, or does this virus seem to be blown out of proportion? I cant even imagine the financial disaster that shall unfold over the coming days, weeks, years....Lots of people will lose their jobs and many businesses will be closing temporarily which in many cases I'd assume might shut them down for good depending on how long this situation lasts.

And what is with this crazy toilet paper thing, people actually fighting over it!!? A damn roll will last me quite a while! I dont wind up with 3 feet of the stuff every time I need it, haha. I dont get it. Now fighting over food I can understand but frigging TP of all things? Weird..is there a mummy fetish that Im just not aware of?

I hope everybody stays safe out there and your financial situation doesn't get too bad! It's likely going to affect everyone in one way or another..

My buddy works for Tri-City and they are pretty much on a lockdown for the most part. Most of the hospital is sealed off and they only have 2 active entrances and exits that are manned to make sure people cant just stroll in without being checked first.

The epidemiologists are saying the by shutting down Wuhan like China did, it reduced the spread up to 80%.

95% of us will be just fine, even if we get it. It’s the 5% we are trying to protect by delaying the viral spread. If we all just maintained life as normal, those 5% would easily overburden our hospital systems, and many would die that would normally have been saved because of lack of proper medical rooms.

That’s what they mean by “flattening the curve.” By quarantine and social isolation, the spread of the virus slows dramatically, and as the vulnerable get sick others have already recovered opening beds for the newer cases.

It’s the public’s reaction to it all that is blown out of proportion. Panic buying and hoarding.

Some Economists are saying this drop in economy was going to happen anyway. However, this event just hastened and intensified it.

Economically we will recover over time, We bailed the banks out in 2008, and recovered from the Great Recession, hurricanes in the south, 9/11, the tech bubble, the recessions in the 90’s, 80’s, 70’s, 60’s, Vietnam War era, Korean War era, WWII, WWI, The Great Depression, Spanish flu.... etc.
