I bet she'd take it right away; she's a voracious eater and doesn't let anything get passed her.

are you staying in the apartment or heading back to the house? If nobody there, I'd say house over a multidwelling apt complex. Fill up those jerry cans, get your stuff from storage.

What worries me the most are the reports coming out of Seattle (no not just media) of young people with no underlying issues which are ending up in ICU with this thing. It does not care who you are, age, nothing. I myself have to be on the safe side - couple of underlying conditions and yep, getting up there age wise. Anyway, you all be careful. Not one of you I don't enjoy talking to on here. Would hate to find out one of you have been impacted by this POS bug. Be safe.

You should. You have so much area out there, GTFO as soon as it comes close to your county. If I were up in your area, I would've been setting up a spot back in January lol. Go grab one of those bear caves.

yeah she always was anyway, we're lucky in that she owns her own biz so we didn't have to cross that "who's taking off work to stay home" bridge

Or god forbid the daycare option, that shit is like paying double rent

I'm waiting for them to send us home here. An outpatient primary care setting is def not a necessity.

with the shelter in place shit tho u can get fines or arrested for travelling on non-necessary trips. So u guys thinking ur gonna Rambo out and hide in the woods would prolly get a ticket from the highway patrol on ur way up and sent home/or get stuck up in the woods for months if this continues on.

    Be. Smart.

But really, if school got completely canceled along with work I would. Fill a 50 gallon thing of water, 50 of fuel and grab some canned food from the house and get gone.

Oh definitely; I think it's fucking hilarious he got bit.

But that species is extremely defensive in nature.

Old worlds in general are typically like that since they're more of a "bite before flight" vs new worlds that have less potent venom, and use urticating hairs they shed to ward off predators.

@JKO1998 is smart. If anyone is ready to be in that environment, he'd have my vote. He knows that land and that weather.

As for penalty for ignoring the shelter in place order, yes local PD will enforce it. Today/tomorrow I'm sure its going to be a 'go home please listen to the order' verbal warning. When people become belligerent and openly defy the order, that's when they'll move past the "warning".

should have done guppies instead. Mine breed like fukin rabbits and less thiamine for whoever is eating it, better nutrients.

Goldfish are okay in pinches tho

Believe it or not, in the 4 apartment complex building I live at, only 2 are occupied which is mine and the neighbor below me.

    Everyone literally keeps to themselves.

At the house, I got so used to the neighbors coming to the yard and becoming friends with my FIL (not to mention asking for fruit/lemons that we've got growing) that I'd feel safer at the apartment.

definitely not trying to downplay anyone's manhood or "survivability" in the wild.

I'm just saying play ur card right, bc like u just said PD aren't playing around. This is not an apocalypse where anything goes. Unless u can eat a dead rabbit on a stick and live out there for months Id say against trying it. Because ppl saying 2-3 weeks, but we can be in this for months

Yeah and me being exposed to so many people, I'd rather stay away from him.

I'd rather be sick, alone, and self quarantine than be around others and risk getting my FIL or anyone I care about sick.

That's the hard part about living with people, since you can be infected and not know it for a week or two, you can infect your family members without knowing your sick (until it's too late). I really hope it doesn't happen but, gotta plan accordingly. We're keeping plenty of things in the house to treat ourselves should we get sick - fever reducing meds, cough meds, and lots of water. No sense in going to the hospital unless you're truly in need of hospital care, they don't have a cure for it anyway. The hospital beds are needed for those that really need them
