Pulled the axle flanges off. I'm waiting for a 54mm socket tool to remove the nut. Cone washers suck.

Remote Desktop FTW. I tend to do a lot of data processing, modeling, and GIs visualizations, so my laptop is crap for that. At least I can remote my tower on my desk and just control it from here.

I definitely prefer my desk, mostly because schools are closed so I'm pulling double duty and watching my kids, too.

All this overcrowding in the hospitals makes it harder to treat people that have other everyday life threatening emergencies too, which are still happening just as they always do. Not that there's ever a good time to have a heart attack, get into a car wreck, etc but now would be the absolute worst time. And will be for awhile.

Do you have a brass drift or a brass hammer? I thought it was bullshit when I was told the same but they make it super easy to remove come washers without damaging anything.

On my manual hubs hitting the end of the stud with the brass hammer knocks the cone out real quick without any risk of damage. Without it is a PITA

    This.

I've knocked cone washers with a 1lb hammer and brass drift off of a junkyard truck.

    Takes a good solid whack.

Yeah, people are stupid when it comes to things like this. The hoarding of TP and water and all that. Worst part is the hoarding of masks, like they think those keep you from getting sick, but all that means is that doctors are being forced to re-use theirs.

    No thanks

I only found small ones at my hardware stores, so I bought the nice 3 pack from Amazon.

Sat flush with the stud and the nut (best to unscrew the nut until it's flush with the stud) for maximum surface contact.

    Made it a breeze

exactly. It's horrible because everyone talked shit and said it's just the flu. Well shit I don't remember the last flu case I've heard of where there is an incubation period of 4-7 days where u can be asymptomatic and still contagious. transmitted via water droplets so if someone is talking and their spit droplets get into u ur fucked.

its not the virus tho. It's the secondary effects. I.e hospital overcrowding taking space for people who have the random serious shit like a heart attack or stroke, the hoarding taking away cleaning supplies, gloves, and masks from those who need them regularly as they are immune compromised or on chemo/radiation.

China closed for 2 weeks+. They are our major supplier of everything. We have NO idea what the fuck them being closed for 2 weeks will do to us because that's months down the road. Not to mention people being laid off from their jobs, and facilities needing to rehire upon re-opening. we as a society are on giant ecosystem, our ecosystem just was changed and now the gears are grinding for us instead of transitioning smoothly. What will cause the teeth of the gears to finally wear off? who knows

Nobody knows the upcoming outcome of all the secondary effects, and no one will until months for now

I used a brass hammer as recommended. Some came out ok. Others were a real pain. Its one of those fucked up items that just want to put it out of my mind.
