    How small of a pulley will you start to require a better tune? Would the Toyota tune be sufficient for a 2.8"?

    Ideally you’d have an AFR gauge and use that to tell how “safe” the tune is. I ran 2.7” on stock trd tune and it was still plenty rich at WOT. The issue becomes part throttle fueling, as boost builds quicker and quicker with smaller and smaller pulleys.

    Elevation plays into it a lot too. For example, 2.7ish at 4500' will basically get you back to what the stock boost would be at sea level.

    I saw about half a pound to a pound of boost lost, MAF numbers I dont recall. I was going back and forth with Tor back when I was doing some testing. I should do another comparison test actually, since opening up the exhaust skewed my boost readings, along with other changes since initial testing.

    I'm not running any liners either. no time fo dat.

    Whats the trick to removing the alt pulley? Finally get to see if I have the flat or non flat pulley. F@#$ing playing war with pulleys. 50/50 chance.

    That's a little too broad of a question given I don't know the theory of operation of said temperature gauges. Some work with a single ground and some work with a variable 5 volt reference supplied by the sensor. I would need to know what gauge it is and need to see some sort of diagram or get some info on how it works in order to help you out further.

    Easiest way would be to heat up some water using temperature regulation and something that reads the temperature. If it reads off, answer is right there.

    The other way you can check it is to stick the sensor in some cold or hot water and just see what the reading is on the gauge.

    The other way would be to hook up a graphing scope and backprobe the sensor as the water you got the sensor in heats up. If the sensor steps down in voltage (assuming it is a NCT style sensor) as the water heats up and you don't see any glitching or oddities you'll know it's good.

    There are various ways to test it. Get me the info and we'll go from there.

    i did think of that but getting it close to ambient allows me to look at my mirror temp gauge for reference.
