That is however many volumes of CO2 you are looking for aka how much priming sugar you originally used.

I used 5oz of priming sugar for 5 gals of beer. No clue what number to punch in for the desired c02 saturation.

Just a pinch should be enough to get the party going.

S-04 is Nottingham, right? Isn't that a fairly low attenuating strain like most English strains tend to be? If so, I'd not be too worried about bombs. I've never used it so I could be mistaken on all of this.

I've never done a 5 gallon batch, but I am taking an educated guess and saying that is 2.5 volumes, which is your standard amount for most ales and lagers.

Nottingham and S-04 are actually a bit different from my understanding. S-04 is fairly low attenuating and your stereotypical English yeast full of esters while Nottingham is more like US-05, higher attenuation and low esters.

Ah, I see. I probably should have looked it up before posting. Thanks for the clarification.

Evidently not. But it is English and a low attenuator, so it would be a good choice to carbonate your bottles without fear of it going crazy.

Straight from the bottle like a savage. This won’t do for apocalypse beer. Gonna need something better.
