Just picked up a fully loaded VooDoo Blue Limited with ~1800 of add ons. Numbers added up to 17% off of MSRP, and yes was a 9 week factory order. Well worth the wait. Guess I need to change my profile picture.

Not anymore and my disability is for TBI and some other nerve damage, etc. (disability is not just missing limbs, etc.). I could still ride, if I wanted to (probably not the best idea), but school is the priority now.

If you can afford the truck and you think you have decent job security or a nice retirement account then this is a great time to buy.

... Last week I ordered my first pickup ever- an army green TRD-Pro. I used Costcos Auto sales deal for members of Costco. I was surprised how easy it was to buy the Pro for $500 above invoice. With some extra options it came to ~$46,700 before tax. This is a great price since other dealers in my area had these army green Pros marked up 4 or 5 grand above MSRP! At least they did a week ago. The delivery time for mine is 2-5 months. Now that I hear they are slowing down the assembly lines, it will be closer to 5 months. This is all a big gamble for me as I just started a mobile PDR Paintless Dent Repair company and my phone stopped ringing the day after I ordered the truck. I hope the economy gets better in 5 months. Too early to tell now.

As someone who's only bill is my truck payment outside phone and insurance I would think twice, even with my disability check and GI bill I still am wishing I was more liquid right about now. My CFO uncle just got furloughed (hotel business). Mom and pop own a medical billing company but clients are closing up shop (no more elective surgeries to bill for). Times are about to get pretty rough. I personally would wait to see what happens. Deals will likely still be there on the other side of this.

A wise decision. I ordered mine before things started closing down everywhere like schools and businesses. That all happened very quickly soon after. Just one week later I have a very different outlook of the next year ahead and none of it is positive. But I am not calling the dealership to cancel my order just yet. I can always get my $1000 deposit back, and if the truck isn't ready for another 6 months, who knows? Maybe at that point I will feel more secure than I do today. By the way I just checked and my final price for the green TRD Pro was 46,319. Not a bad price but as of now, I think I need that money in my savings account since I have a mortgage and 2 kids.

2020 Tacoma SR Double Cab- MGM
I got my 2020 Tacoma SR 4x4 with the pro wheels and a Tonneau cover for a little under 32K (It had 7 miles on it when I left the lot). How did I do? It's my first truck- am I even allowed here with only an SR!?

    Edit: It's a double cab

V6? SX pkg? I posted my SR on here a couple weeks ago it's an access cab. Most are buying the TRD OR with various package options.

It's a V6 yes. I convinced the dealership to throw on the SX (matte black alloy) wheels they had lying around but that's the only upgrade I have from the basic SR. I picked up some nice side steps and installed myself. It's looking pretty sharp to me, but fairly basic as far as options you can have on a Tacoma. Magnetic gray color- I plan to post some pics when I can get some good ones. It does everything I need it to do, and I'm excited to have that to drive around in the Minnesota winters compared to the Corolla I traded in....

Sounds like you got almost exactly what I got, only I wanted the access cab and got the mudflaps and steps added in also. You got the good stuff , V6 4WD SX pkg, not much else to do on the SR from the dealer. You can add foglights , the kit is less than 100.00 bucks. So far the only mod I have done to mine besides upgrading tires is to remove the SX stickers off the back. Anyway, Congratulations on the new truck!
