This is the write-up I originally found and followed. My lights were garbage before, replaced the harness (super easy), installed the higher power bulbs, gave the lenses some 1200 2200 3000 grit love and polish and dear god, I can see. But like I said, you do you. I was going to do projectors until I realized this cost less and didn't require as much fiddling. YMMV.

I finally did the satoshi mod because my cheapo lightbar wouldn't fit with the stock grill in the location I preferred. BTW, said cheapo lightbar is damn bright. Did I do it today? No. In fact, it took me so freaking long to do this it was barely worth it, but I took the time to do it "right" and what was an annoying chrome front grill is now this. Added a little flair to represent the upper left corner.

I did f-up and destroyed the little triangle inserts most people use which resulted in having to spend a crap ton of time bending the triangle mesh to lie flush with the grill, and then epoxy, and then lots of holding in place carefully by hand for a long time.

    I think it looks alright.

Came home and cleaned up the garage (in the wake of the wedding prep)... cleared it out enough for me and my Mall Crawler friends to have a Mod Day on Saturday.

Were they running short on beer, and that's why you had to resort to buying that Bud Light crap? :boink:

I'm stuck at my dad's house in Orinda. Before his operation and stroke he went to Costco about 3 times a week and never remembered what he had bought before, booze-wise, so I have numerous bottles of brandy, Jack, Makers Mark, rum and Bulleit on hand...we'll be fine

I think I’m loosing my steering rack. I’m noticing significant resistance when I turn left of center. Anyone had this symptom as the rack is going out or should I look at a different component?
