Trying to hear a phone call over bluetooth in a pouring rain was near impossible. I'm more than certain this will correct the problem. I got 18 sq ft of this off Amazon for under $40 and a $10 metal roller. Interior work is second nature for me, but for inexperienced folks, the headliner only needs a philips, a 10mm socket on an impact, a clip tool, and a pocket flathead screwdriver. Thankfully I have extra interior clips for replacing any that may not survive.

In a way, I kinda like it. Lets me take my mind off the news headlines, etc and just keep a "normal" part of my daily routine

Until you catch it and bring it home to family and friends .... I’m in contact with people all the time plus I drive to 4-6 different location a day so if I have a bug it’ll go all over the place. I don’t have the mass paranoia thank goodness but I am more that concerned about safety of those around me.

Well sir I do appreciate your follow up on this and your genuine concern. But I was plant manager at my wife's facility for over 10 years. I had 105 employees under me. I knew every employee and all the wife's and children. I had no HR person either. So I scheduled all vacations and time off for personal surgeries and funerals etc.....and I can tell you one thing as a plant manger I would never give myself certain credentials over other people that made my pay check! Each to their own and every company is different. Not trying to start something just saying people are people and they deserve the same treatment! That's just the type of Plant Manager I was! In other words if my peeps are in the trenches them I'm there with them come hell or high water! your quote "that may just not be visible to the average person. " be damned! Maybe I'm missing something please enlighten me!

Glad you did! Good to have a bigger community as we all go through this. It’s going to take all of society’s cooperation to get through this, and it’s good to see everyone’s story because they really are all over the spectrum.

I’m extremely fortunate right now and really trying to be aware of how my situation is different from many others’. To all you guys and gals who need the work hours and pay, who don’t have a guaranteed salary, or may not even have a job to return to at the end of this, I’m really thinking about your situations a lot. You are our neighbors, friends, and family. How do we as a community and society help support you AND keep you safe?

I avoided going into the big Bay Area companies, but I am hearing from people that went that route that the free employee cafeterias in the big tech companies were having a hard time keeping food suppliers and were changing food suppliers out almost daily to keep up which is not typical. Just today, Uber Eats waived delivery fees in the SF area. Also, those that work in biotech are getting a ‘healthcare mandate exemption’ card from the county to show cops so they can travel to work under the lockdown and show police if needed as a hall pass. But also it sounds like there is no enforcement thus far.

I miss the Bay Area, but sadly not right now. With 79% of new cases coming from undiagnosed carriers, low density living just started to sound a lot more safe. It is interesting to note that the sparse tribal model of Africa before modernization was primarily a means to reduce and contain transmission of malaria. The rules of mother nature seem to persist irrespective of modern development.

Yep, my business is 100% tourism so at the moment I'm refunding deposits which is clearing up my calendar for a bit of deep sea kayak fishing. My yak has been collecting dust for the last 2+years. Shucks, I haven't even put in the back of my new truck yet!!

On a serious note, I work in the private jet maintenance industry. I've always feared the economy downturn as luxury is the first thing to take a hit. However, business jets and private jets are in very high demand right now due to the airlines, and business couldn't be better. Of course that could change, but for now I'm employed.

I dont think this preliminary "stay/shelter-in-place" thing is going to work. I just picked up dinner in Santa Clara (ECR) and it just feels like a Sunday or holiday to me.

Sorry guys....stay safe..stay healthy. Restrictions are going to escalate.

I am hearing right now that South SF, Daily City, Burlingame are dead and ‘nobody is out’ so that is encouraging.

But I fully agree that containment is far below necessary levels to avoid major consequences. Our house has self-isolated for over a week, and honestly I wish we started sooner.

Millennial translation in case if needed. "shelter in place" = "stay the fuck home" Glad to help! PM me anytime! :boink: I don't play by the rules FYI

Guessing you’re not a touring or venue guy?

I’m an Event Manager at an arena here in LA. Tough times... Thank god I’m full time.. I have about 500 stage hands, f&b people, security people, vip people, and other show day staff who are in a very tough situation.

I work for the biggest food suppliers in the Bay Area as far as food service. Our warehouses are fully stocked. The big tech company’s have massively scaled back the cafeterias in all their buildings. With employees working from home no need to keep them open.

So you’re saying there is a chance ... but at the same time I’d imagine if all the businesses stopped for a month we would go back to Stone Age
