Honestly at the end of the day it's all we can do to retain some of our sanity amidst all this craziness. Control what we can and let go of what we cant. Look after ourselves and loved ones and do our best to remain calm and kind toward others, and we can try and make the best out of an unprecedented shitty situation.

Hope everyone is doing ok, considering. I for one enjoy having TW and this thread especially to help take my mind off the craziness for a moment or two.

Guess you now have the free time to finish the conversion? Provided they ship the trans to you... lol. Although, I suspect one could argue that the boneyard is in fact essential services (auto parts).

This is crazy but I actually see this research as very positive overall. Hopefully, people get their shit together and work on how to band together and take this seriously.

Really trying to laugh at my situation here, but in all honesty it's going to suck.

Having taken the pay cut these last months since production has dropped with the loss of a finance manager and sales manager, not to mention this situation now, I'll be making just over a quarter of what I normally make compared to this time last year.

Pulled the coolant bypass manifold and the starter tonight. Took the starter apart to replace the plunger and contacts, the kit I got is the wrong one. Started taking the motor end apart and realizedc I really don't want to fuck with replacing the brush holder. Also the breather hoses broke off it and the rubber cover over the passenger side wire lug was rock hard and all broke off while I was pulling the starter. Can't replace those parts individually, no parts for them. New starter is $107 + $60 core + 25 shipping, so just shy of $200 shipped. It's on order now from McGeorge and I asked them to cancel the $77 brush holder order.

Sorry to hear that man. Seems this whole situation is dealing us new blows day by day. Hopefully the extreme measures were talking to 'flatten the curve' prove successful in the coming weeks and we can see some improvement in the things we're having to sacrifice right now.

My wife's mom lost her job today, and she's been struggling financially for awhile. At 70 years old and divorced it's gonna be hard to bounce back, trying to keep my wife from getting too stressed about it.

We will see benefits opening up in the coming days. Newsom said in his press briefing today they would have something in place so people could file via EDD. Totally sucks bud, sorry.

Fuck that must be very stressful for her mom right now.

Thoughts and prayers going your way, for your wife and your MIL's sake.
