AutoCad is what my kitchen valance got drew in then transferred to the milling machine. We only have 40” of travel so I had to do it in two cuts.

 

Yeah well, I do all my 3D modeling on Blank Paper 2020.

 

There was an older guy who worked here 20 years ago and he would sit down and figure out everything on paper, I saw he had a bunch of stuff wrote down one day and ask him what it was. He said "I'm figuring out my fuel mileage on different size tires"

I have to use the computer, lol.

Kinda torn between the 1HP and 2HP HF dust collectors. I remember there was a guy with the 2HP, but can't find the post. With that sucker drawing 20amps, how much did your electric bill skyrocket?

 

Well, I've got a 1.5hp dust collector... and I haven't really noticed the bills. I'm not really looking though. It's only on when I'm using the tools.

The draw can't be too bad, I run my entire shop off of two extension cords from my house. My lights and DC are on the same circuit, but they are LEDs.

 

100% LED swap was the first thing I did, when I moved in. Even the little light above the stove is LED.

Decided to laminate these . 7 plies at 5/16" x 3" from some very dry and basically clear 3x12 cedar we kept from old house deconstruction .

I normally use Titebond 3 for this type of work but this time decided to go with polyurethane Gorilla glue

I run everything off a generator. This summer I’m going to switch the window AC’s and space heaters to house extension cord. Those are the only things that get close to kicking the breaker. Following year is 100 amp service with 8 circuits.

I haven't done any laminate bending in 10+ years, but I'd like to incorporate it into a future project.
Hard to tell from the photo, but do you have a form you're using?
If you find yourself short on clamps (doesn't look like you have that problem), some old inner tubes wrapped tightly around the plys works really well too.

 

might be hard to see in the pic but there is a form , basically a piece of 1/2" ply bent onto blocks screwed to a base , the form plywood is covered in red vapour barrier tape

this is about 1/4 of my clamps haha
