Totally. Mine Taco is a Sport which comes with a hood scoop, since it was fake- nonfunctional, I thought it was juvenile looking, just my opinion! And traded for a normal one; i downgraded

I’d recommend the ARB snorkel! Took about 4 hours to install. There’s good posts on TW to follow

Tested them a few moments ago in the dark, I have them tilted a little too far down but otherwise... bright.

Here’s what I did to our Taco on Sunday, got it dirty!

    5226B255-756D-4446-B3D6-23A713F1FDBE.jpg
Deliberately going slow trying to get stuck - couldn’t

Got hung up for a minute here while dragging the rear diff through dirt. Had to engage both lockers to climb out, popped a 18” wheelie coming out, that was puckering.
D35C71D8-7619-4C75-A388-88C6BF33E666.jpgDon’t worry, I only used a bit of throttle with my front wheels turned, not ready to twist the axle while testing it out for our big trip...if borders ever open up

I installed the KTJO4x4 Pop n Lock bracket with an actuator I got from Amazon. I decided to do it a bit differently since I already had 12V from the battery wired to an aux fuse box. I also wanted to connect my topper power lock as well, and didn't like the idea of tapping directly to the passenger actuator wiring since it would be driving 2 more actuators (100% increase in load).

I used the passenger actuator as control signals instead and put together a full bridge motor driver to open/close the lock actuators for the tailgate and topper, which sources power directly from the battery (it's fused).

This is only the first version of the board. Might try to fix it up later and come up with a better mounting solution other than zip ties...

They claim to be SAE compliant and DOT legal. I feel like I adjusted them correctly, I probably need to lower them down.

When pulled up to my garage the fog light beam sits right below the low beams. They just produce so much light if floods everywhere.

While totally awesome and impressive I dont use them on the road at all. I feel like I spent a shit ton of money for nothing.

Thanks for this. I was debating between the sports and pros. Looks like I'll go with the sports.

Think you would’ve been happier with the sports?

I was leaning that direction but was curious if they would be bright enough. That is some great feedback. Also saves me about $150 when I get to that part of the list.

I did some research on them before buying. Had the money to buy the Pros so I did. Probably should have choose the Sports but Diode Dynamics claims the Pros are street legal.

I love LED lights, the more the merrier. But these SOB's are not road legal. The quality is 100% top notch and the fit on the Tacoma is perfect.

Dont really know what to do now.

Beg pardon if I missed this already, it seems to be a thread going back a couple of days. Are they/can they be aimed? It would seem even super bright fogs shouldn't blind anyone if the pattern is properly aimed at the ground in front of the truck.

If you’re not happy with the output, you could return them (if newer) or sell them. You know they would sell. Then get the sports.
