Got a text from the Dealer yesterday afternoon. Said the truck was in Commerce Georgia. I Googled it, Commerce Georgia looked to be about an hour this side of Atlanta. Atlanta was her port. So she was on a truck headed this way. Googled said she was 4 hours and 5 minutes from the dealership. The Dealer also said she had a sticker on her labeled "Hot" I asked what that meant. The dealer said that let's the driver know this vehicle needs to get to the dealership as quickly as possible. I'm hoping the truck is there now.

Thanks! Just wish this uncertainty about the economy wasn't happening right now. My current truck only has 55,000 miles on it and is paid for.
I'm a little uneasy about going back into debt. But I guess if we all stop spending we will tank the economy.

She’s good for another 250,000 miles!

I would personally hold off purchasing and wait for the 4th generation Tacoma. You know you are going to want it.

I have no idea if I would want a 4th Gen or not. When the 3rd Gens came out I didn't want one of them. It took Army Green to turn my head.

Knowing that someone from outside Team AG will undoubtedly find this and comment...and that it would attract a flame war as a stand-alone topic, I'm interested in my fellow Pro owners thoughts on this:

Many people on the forum denigrate the Pros as too costly for the features and recommend that people buy an OR or a Sport and then upgrade it because they can make a better, less costly "Pro" that way. So then many of them go about modding their trucks with Pro and other parts declaring they now have TRD Pros...some even adding the Pro badge to their trucks. In the end they have Faux Pros, maybe with better or less costly parts...but their VIN still makes the truck a "X", not a Pro. And, why would you want to badge your vehicle as something you avoided buying in the first place because it was too costly or you could make a better version?

Every Friday I'm tempted to start a new thread titled "Pro Owners - post pictures of your non-Pro mods" just for the fun of seeing what happens.

Am I missing something here? It would be like me putting an M badge on my Z3. I've modded it a bit but it will never be an M Roadster.

Gosh Darn Them those fighting words. You going to start trouble. This is Nothing new in the automotive world people like to copy something they see and think it is cool. Mustangs turned into Shelby's Camaros turned to Yenkos or SS it will never end. I am not sure why people do this but i know it will never change. As for me i was going to Bye A Cement colored Tacoma off road and mod it from there but as i get older i do not off road as heavy as i use to. So i wanted something already built that i can add a couple of small mods to and still get out and enjoy myself. Also I have to admit i paid a lot006.jpg of extra money because off the Army Green . So anyways there will always be haters of TRD pros but who cares if they think that building a TRD clone is cool i say go for it. I know i have a Pro and that is all i care about.

I get it - and people have a right to do whatever they want...and your analogy to Shelbys and Z28s, etc is valid. I just don't understand the why. They're either trying to foll themselves or someone else...like people who make fake Shelbys. Whatever they created - and again they have every right to do whatever they want..it isn't a Toyota TRD Pro no matter what parts or badges you slap on it.

    Back on my head.

Joined the crew last night! I had my mind set on a white one (hence the username) but decided to change at the last minute to AG!

Dealers haven’t been wanting to negotiate up here in the PNW and the Pros have been selling as soon as they hit the lots. Well I found this one south of me and it was available so I made the quick drive. Ended up saving about $2k in tax and licensing so I was okay paying msrp. Like most of us though, economy is definitely a worry right now. More pics coming today after I wash her!

I am with you on having something to go off road when I want (which is a lot less than a few years ago) and not have to make a lot of mods. I still enjoy camping, fishing and hunting and want a vehicle that can get me off the beaten path. The TRD Pro is already equipped for that and what I want to do. Easy peasy, if someone has heartburn over it so be it they don't have to agree. I have read through a lot of the mods in this and no one agrees on any of them - it is all a matter of personal preference which is OK with me. Off my soap box now - I like mine and am really enjoying it.

Welcome to Team AG!!!! Now you need to change your vehicle listing to AG instead of white! White would have been my second choice if I couldn't have gotten AG.

Try the link below. Mine should be delivered today. I ordered it mid January so about 2 months. But if you fall in the 2 months off, could be 3-4 months. :(

How long did it take to get your truck in? Not sure if you ordered it or just picked it up at a dealer.

*Asking because I can see you have BC Plates, and im in Vancouver as well.

I’ve noticed that too. Then to add more head scratching, when some do go mod it, they do it with cheap methods or gear, eff up ride quality, then complain about Toyota quality. One I’m watching on YT now, put a cheap lift on it, and a second set of aftermarket tires and wheel, and can’t figure out why it still doesn’t feel right after multiple balances and alignments. You think maybe bc you changed something that was engineered well for a specific purpose, and put cheap crap in it’s place?!?! But, to each his own - it’s your truck so do what you want to it. I think they’ll end up spending as much if not more on mods and drive overall cost higher than the Pro, or screw it up, than if they would have just gotten one in the first place. It’s esp confusing if all they do is mall crawl.

And the whole faux badging issue, I don’t get that at all. If you don’t want a Pro, that’s cool - own the decision. But if you faux badge it, you really did want one, or want people to think you do. It really does look better, IMHO.

For me, it was perfect - AG is a great looking truck (hate voodoo blue, but that’s just me), great ride quality, that I can, and have, moderately offroad with, no mods needed. I’m absolutely happy w my decision. If you want to substantially mod it, my observation is don’t go cheap or you’ll likely regret it.

Ah ok, they told me there were no Army Green ones in BC or Alberta and they had to order one in, and told me 2-3 month wait.
